Trial product heading to farm in Western Australia

Product delivery underway for a paddock-scale UNLOCK P3 trial in collaboration with precision ag provider Laconik.

This stage is the practical side of trial work getting the sample product to the farmer, unloaded, and ready for use in-field.

Corn silage trial: differences in cob development

In this corn silage trial treated blocks were compared directly against untreated controls to evaluate the impact on cob development and yield components.

The results show clear differences:
Treated:
• 42 kernels per row
• 16 rows per cob
• Average cob weight: 363 g

Untreated:
• 35 kernels per row
• 14 rows per cob
• Average cob weight: 320 g

The treated blocks received Pollinator, a blended formulation designed to support reproductive physiology during critical stages. The result is improved kernel set, higher row counts, and increased cob weight – all contributing to stronger silage potential.

Targeted support during reproductive stages is reflected directly in cob development.

The difference is clear in the field.

Our team recently spent time working alongside leading citrus operations, combining in-field engagement with attendance at ’s Annual Australian Citrus Congress in Adelaide.

Time in the field remains central to how we work – evaluating conditions, aligning strategies, and engaging directly with growers to ensure that decisions are grounded in what’s happening on the ground.

The visit also provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships, exchange practical insights, and align approaches for the upcoming season across regions.

Understanding the Soil to Unlock Performance at Vitonga Farms

During a recent visit to Vitonga Farms in eastern Australia, our soil science team worked alongside the Vitonga team to evaluate root development in-field, following a comprehensive feedback session based on our SOIL CLASSIFICATION, ITEST™ SOIL, and ITEST™ LEAF services.

The farm’s predominantly clay soils present both challenges and opportunity. By identifying limiting factors within the profile, we were able to guide practical strategies aimed at improving soil function, root development, and ultimately yield performance.

Field discussions focused on how to better manage water movement, aeration, and nutrient availability within these heavier soils – ensuring that the full potential of each hectare can be realised.

When soil understanding is combined with the right management decisions, performance follows.

A productive day in the Brookton, WA area with Leigh and Schalk.

On-site with a large-scale wheat grower, the focus was unpacking soil chemistry results directly in the field. Being on farm allowed the team to connect the lab data to real-world soil structure and physical properties.

By digging profile holes, we were able to further explore how soil classification and chemistry link to yield variation across the paddock – giving practical insight into what’s happening below the surface.
