The first 2 of 72 F-35A Lightning II aircraft were officially delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force No. 3 Squadron at RAAF Base Williamtown today.

A35-009 and A35-010 seen here departing RAAF Base Amberley early this morning on the final leg of their 12,800km journey from Luke AFB, Arizona.

Exercise High Sierra kicked off today in Townsville with numerous classic hornets heading off to the range. Loaded with training bombs, these aircraft were supported by PC-9 FAC aircraft. Other visitors throughout the day included a Wedgetail and Hercules.
