This is Caitlin, she’s a gun. 🔫

Caitlin reached out to me before her and her partner had moved back to Townsville. She was looking to secure a role before arriving and thought that this work seemed like it’d be interesting. I hired her after a catch up on Zoom.

I’m glad I did.

In the past few months, she’s picked everything up really well and taken on the Team Leader role.

Got mould? ⚫️

A surface that looks like it needs completely replacing, may actually be structurally sound.

Townsville’s damp and warm climate makes for ideal growing conditions for lots of mould types.

Mould indicates persistent dampness, which could in turn indicate rot. It’s also a sign that the property isn’t being maintained thoroughly, if the build up is extreme. If you’re looking to put a property on the market, this could throw up a red flag for buyers.

Today was unseasonably warm as f*ck. We performed a tiled roof soft wash for our customer in Kelso.

You’d be forgiven for thinking these were brown tiles but what you’re actually seeing is an accumulation of organic growth.



When the cleaning chemicals are applied you can visually see the breakdown of the contaminants occurring. The mould takes on a darker purple tone whilst the chlorine does its thing.



Even though this result is vastly better than the original condition, you may notice a few dark spots remaining. This is actually paint degradation, which has happened over time from the mould buildup.
