Fit for purpose equipment :

Today we supported one of our clients with a dig and expose situation.

One of the contributing factors was the amount of rain at this years beginings ( 3000mm ).
We have been engaged in many water engress or mould growth support projects due to high moisture content this year.
So many properties affected in Townsville.

This project will have full membrane application, membrane layer protection and new in ground water system connected to storm water outlet.

Lots of preparation and product applications to be completed prior to back fill and compaction.

Tricky project due to depth and reach during excavation, compounded by limited underground services not being able to be confirmed prior to excavation.
We progressed steady and completed area checks for services manually with hand tools before soil removal.

Materials removed segregated into four groups,
Green waste/organic made up of stumps and foliage. Rocks and building products removed. Topsoil for rehabilitation and planting post completion.
Lower subs soils to be reused and compacted during back fill phase.

This project will be completed, and handed over early next week as support crews are working over this long weekend to complete in a timely manner for the complex.

Mini Machines Townsville Rental Fleet : Unit # 4.

Dingo by name, Dingo by nature.

Here we have a Dingo K95 carrying the smaller Dingo K92 into our rental shed for the rebuilt phase.
New beginnings for the K92, original 400 odd hours from new. (As new).
Will be cleaned and off to sand blasting hopefully later this coming week.
Will be as new presented in two pack orange enamel as build progresses.

During the day we are operating machines, and then a couple of hours most nights to refurnish machines.

This unit post completion will have :

Genuine Dingo slimline factory wheel groups with 4wd pattern tyres, and have the K94 larger wheel group with turf pattern tyres.
Wheel/Tyre rotations for application projects.
Genuine Dingo 4 n 1 Bucket,
Genuine Dingo Augar 65mm shaft and drills,
Genuine Dingo GP bucket.
Genuine Dingo trencher attachment options*.
( * Options will be configured to many applications with two bar lengths 600mm and 400mm, additionally two rock chains for each bar lenght at 100mm and 150mm cut widths ).
In total upto four different arrangement types.

Aiming to have ready for release at this stage between four and six weeks.

Mini Machines Townsville Rental Fleet : Unit # 3 Ready.

Massive thank you to our suppliers and supporters that have been part of the journey to present this machine so well.

This Cormidi C50 Tracked dumper is the first machine we have rebuilt through our rental shed.

Fully stripped down, and improved during the rebuild stages.
Now with improved 7 Hp electric start engine, strengthened and modified chassis. Full hydraulic hose replacement, new tracks and drive sprockets plus so much more replaced or rebuilt.
Many general improvements from owning our first one back in 2016.

Basic machine info :

Designed and built in Italy, imported into Australia. However production has now ceased on this model many years ago.

The Cormidi C50 can carry upto 500 kilograms of material.
Lift upto 1.4 meters in vertical lift.
Able to operate within a 700mm wide opening.
Extremely low ground pressure ( loaded operating weight on any surface ) to prevent damage to turf,tiles or any under track surface.

This will become available from September onwards.

Flower Power :

Looks good from far, but up close it was far from good…
This retaining wall was replaced not long ago, and we were asked to inspect and remove for pool area improvements ( new home owner ).
Once we undercut behind the wall and found the method used to retain, we were able to locate the cause of failure.

Some one had driven in star pickets, then attached vertical sleepers to the star pickets. Then proceeded to place horizontal sleepers in place and back filled with soil. 👎😳.

Our scope was to remove to concrete level and profile shape out side pool fence.

Property owner plans to replace back fence and retain to gain extra area around the pool for summer.

Approximately 12Cm3 of soil removed and moved through the restricted access of 800mm.

Started yesterday and completed today in the intermittent rain showers.

Double Dumpers :

Today we supported one of our first original clients from our humble beginings on their breath taking project in the city.

Back filling behind retaining walls, one machine on the lower level and one on the upper levels. Lots of productivity when being loaded with a 5 Ton excavator.
Many, many tons moved in short amount of time. ❤️☑️.

Awesome crew, great views. Done and dusted well ahead of estimated time gauged to finish this phase.

We love our Cormidi tracked dumpers.
C50 - 500kg carrying capacity.
C60 - 600kg carrying capacity.

Burdell Benchmark :

Wow, what a statement these home owners have made.
We have just had some of the biggest rain fall events in Townsville over the last couple of months, and yet this property presents like this…..
No soft ground conditions, no water pooling, mowing straight after rain.

Quality and perfection would summarise the home owners dedication and desire for results achieved.

Photo timeline of project and basic phase completion as follows :
7/11/2024 : First day of the project, start undercutting and sub soil profile excavation.
9/11/2024 : Repair squashed 90mm stormwater pipes from when house phase was being built, and we found damage during the - 200mm undercut excavation.
12/11/2024 : Start garden bed structures around property.
14/11/2024 : Start Irrigation system installation layout.
16/11/2024 : Spread crusher dust over turf zones, and first load of McCahills topsoil arrives on site. Bulk spread of top soil started in turf zones.
21/11/2024 : Full site turf and irrigation completed. Ready for turf.
22/11/2024 : Rain starts 😕.
27/11/2024 : Top Notch Turf supply and installs Tahoma T31.
1/12/2024 : Irrigation times reduced as T31 has settled very well, plant layout begins.
14/12/2024 : Cylinder mower used and first lawn patterns cut in. ❤️.

Then the rains begin and massive amounts of water start to fall from above during the week around the 17/12/2024.
Xmas and new year periods, and home owners continue with additional planting.
More rain…..😕.

12/1/2025 : Planting layout completed by home owners.

Lots of rain, record falls over three week period in February, yet home and grounds in immaculate presentation. Rain fall measure in metres. 🌧️ ☔️.

8/3/2025 : Turf renovation begins as we move on from rain events as part of Autumn turf programme.
11/3/2025 : Finally the garden irrigation shrubblers installed and set. ( Mother Nature had been irrigating until now ).
12/3/2025 : Home owners carry out mulching of garden beds and apply products to turf zones.

17/3/2025 : Tahoma T31 has recovered post scalping and reset as part of lawn renovations.

21/3/2025 : Another rain fall event over 380 millimetres fell during this week alone. 🌧️☔️.

First mow since renovation and mow line showing stripes already.

23/3/2025 : Last three photos showing the amazing transformation and time line of this project. ❤️.

These property owners can stand tall and proud with the beautiful home they have built and created.

I’m very humble and proud to have been able to support them on the journey that has been the “ Burdell Benchmark”.

Project materials summary :
-) Approximately 40 Ton of site waste soil removed.
-) Minus 200mm sub soil profile was shaped and excavated.
-) Squashed stormwater pipes from build repaired.
-) 31 x Hunter rotor sprinklers, 42 x shrubblers sprinklers, and >200m of irrigation lines.
-) Garden beds materials : 76 x Linear metres of 200 x 50 H4 sleepers in 4.8m lengths.
-) 25mm Base of crusher dust used between subsoil and top soil layers.
-) 63Cm3 ( 88 Ton ) of topsoil used to obtain a 150mm soil profile.
-) Tahoma T31 turf with 25mm thickness profile to complete the 200mm foundations.
