A client drove a car into a support of this Queenslander, taking out one of the supports. With a few off-cuts of timber and some steel reinforcement I was able to fashion this concrete pylon to make sure the house stayed upright. Legend has it that the client wrapped some hi-vis material around the pylon after I left.

My client wanted a timber deck built with a bar and table. The client was a bit short on cash so I thought I'd improvise and with the client's permission we re-purposed their old basketball hoop and used it as the support for the table. I was happy to be able to save my client money and they were happy to be rid of an un-needed item where the remainder went into the support of the outside bar. And just so you know, the table spins around on its axis like a lazy Suzan which makes getting the cheese platter around to the mother-in-law a breeze.
