As we go through the mistakes made when choosing builders, let’s start with the most common.

In many cases a low quote can signal deliberately low provisional costs, and corner cutting on materials, labour and project management to get a build under contract only for costs to rise afterwards. It can also signal a longer build time.

This highlights the importance of getting second opinions and other comparable quotes.
