The Australian production captures the trials and tribulations of life on the land and our support assists Just a Farmer's writer and executive producer, Leila McDougall, attend both screens to discuss mental health and other key topics in the film. Uralla Library is now a more flexible and functional space, after its bookshelves were fitted with special castor wheels using funds from our Social Investment Program.
The wheels were fitted this week, allowing the shelves to be moved to create open spaces in the library that can accommodate more community events and activities.
It’s a fantastic example of how our New England Solar Social Investment Program (SIP) is helping the Uralla community become even more vibrant and cohesive.

The construction team for our New England Battery Energy Storage System has begun demobilising its site compound, as the project transitions from construction to commissioning and testing.

And we've welcomed a new Site Manager for our New England Solar Stage 1 Operations team, with Quinton Ludick bringing more than a decade’s experience in the electrical and mechanical sector.

What a fabulous day at the Seasons of New England expo yesterday. Blue, sunny skies, tasty treats, terrific tunes and a steady flow of visitors to our free water stall. Back for another day at Uralla’s Sunny Jim Mackay Park, so drop by to say hello.

Ideal weather, lots of great stalls and delicious food ... it's shaping up to be a wonderful Seasons of New England expo at Uralla's Sunny Jim Mackay Park this weekend. ACEN Australia will be operating the free water tent again this year and look forward to meeting many people and chatting about our projects.
ACEN Australia is proud to be a major sponsor of Seasons again in 2026, through our Deeargee Solar project. We're stepping up our sponsorship this year, to support the expo on both Saturday and Sunday.

Waste management at the Expo looks a whole lot different. We have always had a strong commitment to the environment and, alongside all of our wonderful stallholders, we've worked hard to leave the most minimal footprint.

We will have wool packs on frames ready for the majority of the waste, and our team will be able to help you if you are unsure about what can't go in. All our stallholders have worked to source home compostable cups, lids, napkins, serving ware and bags, so in the main it will be pretty straight forward.

There are black recycling bins for any bottles and cans, and we have a dedicated foil bin for the pie tins.

Water is also freely available at the Expo, and this year we are again very grateful to our friends from ACEN / New England Solar Farm, for stepping in and helping provide that service for our community. This also means that there is no bottled water for sale at the Expo. Instead, we have filtered town water freely available.

We also have a Loan Cup system in place for the Expo, replacing the need to purchase single use cups as much as possible, even the home compostable ones. This means that at the ACEN Water tent, at the Seasons Bar and at many of our drinks vendors, you will be given your drink in a reusable Seasons branded plastic cup. These are Australian made, BPA free and are all sterilised and washed between use. There is a return bucket at the ACEN Water tent, at the Seasons Bar and at each entry point to the park.

Thank you for working with us each year, it's so good to see everyone come together and to know we are leaving the most minimal footprint at the same time.

Congratulations to Uralla Sports Shear for such a well organised and amazingly supported event at this year's Uralla Show. The high quality of competitors, including past and former national champions, was incredible. ACEN Australia is so proud to support the event by funding the portable shearing facility through our New England BESS and Deeargee Solar projects.
