🚿 A little maintenance every few months can make a big difference to the life of your shed.

At ShedEx Fleurieu, we build quality sheds using Australian-made materials designed for South Australian conditions. But even the toughest sheds appreciate a little TLC.

Here are 4 simple maintenance habits every shed owner should know 👇

🧽 1. Clean it quarterly
Dust, dirt, salt and condensation can build up over time, especially in sheltered areas that don’t receive regular rainfall. A mild wash every 3 months helps keep your shed looking great and performing at its best.

🌿 2. Keep the base clear
Garden beds, stacked timber, mulch and other materials sitting against shed walls can trap moisture and cause unnecessary problems. Give your shed some breathing room.

💨 3. Manage moisture and chemicals
Good ventilation is your best friend. Keep fertilisers, chemicals and corrosive materials away from shed walls, and if you’re near the coast, wash your shed regularly to remove salt deposits.

It’s one of the most common questions we get asked.

A popular starting point for a single garage shed is around:

📏 4.5m–5m wide
📏 7m–8m long
📏 Around 3m high
