3 things you can do to get a more accurate quote👇

1. Provide clear drawings or files
Send through your drawings, DXF/CAD files or as much detail as possible. Clear dimensions help remove guesswork.

2. Specify your material
Include the material type, thickness and quantity you need. These can make a significant difference to how the job is processed and priced.

3. Explain what you need finished
Be clear about the complete scope. Whether you need parts cut only, folded, rolled, polished or assembled. This allows the quote to account for the whole job rather than just one stage.

Polishing isn’t just about appearance. Depending on the application, a smoother surface can make components easier to clean, reduce surface roughness and help improve resistance to contamination and corrosion.

These Anderson plug cases need the same cuts, the same folds and the same finish every time, whether it’s the first one through or the last.

Repeatability might not be the most exciting part of manufacturing, but it’s one of the most important.

So, how does a fibre laser actually cut metal?

A high-powered laser beam is focused onto a tiny point on the metal, creating enough heat to melt it almost instantly.

As the laser moves along the programmed path, a high-pressure gas blows the molten material out of the cut.

The result is a very narrow, precise cut, happening incredibly quickly.

That’s the basic principle behind our Eagle fibre laser.
