The small part that does the heavy lifting.

These are our 0.3mm impingement nozzles. Each one drives high-pressure water through a tiny or***ce against an impingement pin, breaking it into a fine fog that evaporates fast for strong cooling.

This is the high-flow option. At 0.35 to 0.4 litres a minute per nozzle they put out around six to seven times the water of our standard 0.2mm nozzle at 0.056 litres a minute. Built for situations that demand a higher than usual flow rate and serious volume of fog across a large area.

They run on our S100 fog cannon and on large pre-cooling sites where dropping air temperature across a big open area is the goal.

Bird flu turning up in Australia this year is what got us building this one.

Vehicle sanitation station for the farm gate. Every vehicle drives through it on the way in.

The gear behind it is pretty simple. A CPM55 pump module runs the lot, 3 L/min at 1000psi off a standard 240V point.

Sitting next to it is our odour dosing module, the same unit we use on odour suppression jobs. It draws sanitiser out of the drum and meters it into the water line at whatever rate you set it to. We can supply the chemical as well.
The nozzles are impingement heads rather than our fine misting nozzles. They throw a bigger volume and a thicker plume that carries further, so you get proper coverage over the vehicle instead of a fine mist that evaporates before it gets there.
A motion sensor kicks the pump on when a vehicle pulls up.
Water and power at the gate is all you need.

About us
OZmist designs and builds high-pressure misting systems from our base in Wangaratta which are sent Australia wide. Our gear cools crowds at the Australian Open, keeps animals comfortable at Zoos in Melbourne and Sydney, controls dust and odour for clients like Rio Tinto, Nyrstar as well as cooling systems for major data centres. We're a small team doing serious work for big-name clients, and we're looking for our next all-rounder.

The role
This is a hands-on workshop and warehouse position with plenty of variety. Day to day you'll be:
• Manufacturing and assembling misting systems and components
• Rebuilding and servicing high-pressure pumps (Full training provided)
• TIG welding and general fabrication (Preferred but not essential)
• Picking, packing and dispatching orders (summer gets busy)
• Helping with logistics and freight
• Occasional system installs and site visits, with rare overnight travel

The workshop
Clean, fully equipped workshop, organised and comfortable, with air conditioning and misting fans (we make them, after all). Tools supplied.

About you
• Mechanically minded with a genuine can-do attitude
• A problem solver who works things out rather than waiting to be told
• Welding skills, ideally TIG
• Comfortable talking with clients and the team
• Forklift license is highly regarded but not essential. (We will put you through the course)
• Experience with commercial machinery operations a plus
• Fit and healthy as some lifting is required

Odour control done properly at a Melbourne waste transfer station.

The misting line across this doorway releases a fine fog dosed with Zydosan. Instead of masking the smell with perfume, it uses the oxidising power of chlorine dioxide to break down the odour-causing compounds and bacteria and neutralise them at the source.

When Rio Tinto needed to control hazardous silica dust during Carbon Bake Furnace demolition works, they brought in an OZmist misting cannon - and then measured exactly what happened.

Without suppression, total dust (PM10) levels reached 5.08 mg/m3 and respirable dust hit 3.39 mg/m3, exceeding Rio Tinto's own safe exposure limit of 3 mg/m3.

With the OZmist cannon running on two rings, PM10 dropped to 0.06 mg/m3 and respirable dust fell to 0.03 mg/m3. That's a 98.8% reduction in total dust and 99.1% reduction in respirable dust - measured on site, with a Dusttrak monitor.

The result was shared across all Rio Tinto Pacific Operations sites as a Green Banner improvement, with the site contact noting the team had previously been relying heavily on PPE to manage the risk. The misting cannon shifted that from a personal protective measure to an engineering control - which is where dust management should sit.
The data is there. The silica regulations are tightening. If your site is still relying on PPE as the primary control for dust, it's worth having a conversation about what the numbers actually look like with suppression running.

OZmist Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that our M45AU Fog Cannon has been officially commissioned by the Federal Government for the 2026 Budget Season.

Following extensive field trials, OZmist can confirm the M45AU is now the nation's leading platform for high-pressure BS suppression.
Operating at 1,000 PSI through 60 stainless steel nozzles, the M45AU is capable of:

-Encapsulating airborne policy promises before they reach the electorate
-Suppressing odour from any direction — with 330° oscillation
