Wilken Storage is looking for reliable and motivated people to join our team as Harvest Grain Handlers for the 2026/27 grain harvest season.
These are full-time fixed-term seasonal positions commencing in early November and running through until 24 December 2026.
Whether you have previous grain handling experience or are looking to get involved in harvest for the first time, we want to hear from people who are prepared to work hard, work safely and be part of a strong team during our busiest period of the year.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Harvest Grain Handler, you’ll assist with the receival, handling and storage of grain across Wilken Storage operations.
Your duties may include:
* Receiving and directing trucks through grain receival sites
* Assisting with unloading and movement of grain
* Grain sampling and receival duties
* Operating grain handling equipment following training
* Monitoring grain movements and storage areas
* General bunker and grain storage duties
* Maintaining clean and safe work areas
* Completing basic records and documentation
* Following site safety, traffic management and grain quality procedures
What We’re Looking For
Previous grain handling experience is not essential. We provide training and support to get you up to speed.
More importantly, we’re looking for people who:
* Are reliable and turn up ready to work
* Have a strong work ethic
* Can follow instructions and work safely
* Work well as part of a team
* Are comfortable working outdoors and in a hands-on environment
* Are available throughout November and December
* Can work additional hours and weekends during busy harvest periods
* Are flexible when hours change due to weather and grain receivals
Experience in agriculture, grain handling, transport, machinery operation, warehousing or similar industries will be highly regarded.
A current driver’s licence is desirable.
