We’re pretty lucky to build pools in places like this. Tucked into the bush and surrounded by gums, this one is starting to take shape.

Portsea is starting to show its colours.

Tiling is underway and those deep green Italian tiles are already looking pretty special against the architecture.

Warrandyte begins.

First machines on site and the start of a new pool build in a pretty special setting.

Mountain Bay is looking pretty sharp 👌

Paving down, grouted, caulked, waterproofed, FRP’d, cleaned and washed down.

There was plenty to work through around the two-sided negative edge pool and four-sided negative edge spa, but with the paving now complete, all that careful set out is starting to pay off.

A very satisfying stage to have finished.

Large-format tiles give this Beaumaris pool a very different finish to the mosaics we usually work with.

Used throughout the pool and integrated spa, the larger format means fewer grout lines and a much cleaner, more expansive look through the water.

That’s what we love about it. The finish feels simple and understated, but getting there takes careful set out and plenty of attention to every cut, corner and junction.

A great result from the team on this one.

The detail doesn’t stop at the waterline.

More progress at Mountain Bay, with the team now getting stuck into the paving.

There’s a lot of stone to lay here and plenty of cuts to work through around the two-sided negative edge pool and four-sided negative edge spa. Getting the set out right now will make all the difference to the finished job.

This Mountain Bay project features a two-sided negative edge pool and a four-sided negative edge spa, both finished in black mosaic.

It’s one of our favourite stages of a build, when the craftsmanship starts to speak for itself.

A full-sized pool isn’t always the answer.

Sometimes the brief calls for something different.

This custom concrete 3-metre diameter spa pool combines the cooling benefits of a plunge pool with the comfort of integrated spa seating and jets, creating a space that’s just as enjoyable in winter as it is in summer.

It’s a bespoke solution, designed specifically for the home, the site and the way the owners will use it.

Designed by Simon Ellis Landscape Architects we’re looking forward to bringing this unique project to life.
