Community feedback helped us choose the name. It also helped shape the features. Now, meet Cyril. ๐Ÿ‘‹

Our first Mobile Community Hub is starting to come to life.

Designed to provide extra support during outages, emergency events and other community activities, Cyril will be fitted out with features informed by community feedback โ€” including device-charging access, Wi Fi, solar power and access to important outage information.

Thereโ€™s still a little more work to do before Cyril hits the road, but hereโ€™s a first look at whatโ€™s planned.

Weโ€™ll have more to share soon.

A night to celebrate our apprentices โšก๐Ÿ‘

Last week we came together for our 2026 Apprentice Awards, celebrating our apprentices and everything theyโ€™ve achieved over the past year.

For 46 of our apprentices, the night marked the graduation of their apprenticeship with SA Power Networks.

We also recognised our award winners across each year level, as well as our six Playford Medal finalists and this yearโ€™s winner, Connor, one of our Trade Skilled Workers, Powerline. ๐Ÿ†

A lot of hard work goes into getting to this point, and it was great to have our apprentices, leaders together to celebrate it.

Congratulations to all our award winners, finalists and graduates.

Power has now been restored to all but 29 CBD premises supplied by the Coromandel Place substation, which was flooded following a burst underground water main in Grenfell Street.

This has been achieved across the past ten hours by re-routing supply to more than 1100 customers. Crews are now investigating options for the remaining 29 customers, where restoration is more complex.

Mobile generation is being moved into the CBD and we will investigate whether it is possible to restore supply to customers most in need using this method. However, a number of properties without power are also affected by flooding, which may make it unsafe to restore electricity at this stage.

A burst water main overnight has flooded an SA Power Networks substation in the Adelaide CBD, impacting around 1200 customers. More than 500 customers remain without power while crews work to restore supply through alternative network arrangements and mobile generation.

We will be moving mobile power generation into the areas of most critical need. We aim to restore supply to all customers by the end of today and we will continue to provide updates as this work progresses.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
