This week, Maramara Director Garry Jaffrey visited one of our project sites to celebrate NAIDOC Week with the team and share the story behind Maramara.
Garry spoke about the meaning of Maramara, which translates to "hand in hand." It reflects who we are as a business, built on partnership, collaboration, and the belief that the best outcomes are achieved when we work together. Together We Grow is more than a tagline. It's the foundation of how we engage with our people, our clients, our communities, and each other.
This year's NAIDOC Week theme, "50 Years of Deadly," celebrates five decades of recognising the strength, resilience, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. "Deadly" is more than a word. It represents excellence, pride, leadership, and culture.
As we celebrate NAIDOC Week, we also celebrate the Aboriginal businesses, leaders, communities, and partnerships that continue to shape our industry. Together, we honour those who came before us while continuing to create opportunities for future generations.
