It’s been a big year for RE:GROUP.

We’re pleased to share that we’ve been awarded another mining contract — RE:GROUP has been engaged to deliver ore mining for our partner Kimberley Mineral Sands at their Thunderbird operations in the West Kimberley.

The work covers direct-feed dozer push into the Dry Mining Unit, delivered in close integration with the Kimberley Mineral Sands team. It’s a partnership built on performance, and one we’re proud to be taking into its next phase.

We're proud to announce the award of two separate mining contracts with Austral Resources Australia — with our team now mobilised and operational at both Flying Horse Mine and Lady Annie Mine in Queensland.

Following the successful completion of work at Anthill Mine near Mount Isa, RE:GROUP has deployed 80 personnel and a heavy fleet of 100-tonne dump trucks, excavators, dozers, and ancillary equipment across both sites simultaneously. Over the coming weeks, we'll also be deploying new 100-tonne dump trucks and assembling a purpose-built 200-tonne excavator on site to further bolster the operation.

A brand new CAT D11 has left Perth, headed for our operations in The Kimberley.

The D11 is one of the largest production dozers in the world, and this one joins several new D11s added to the RE:GROUP fleet in the past month, owned equipment, deployed on our own projects, backing serious mining and bulk earthworks capability.

While travelling between jobs, one of our truck drivers Rachel, received a radio call from another driver advising that a joey kangaroo was sitting beside its mother on the roadside. Sadly, the mother had been injured and passed away.

Rachel safely stopped at the next available parking bay, collected the joey, and transported it back to where it was assessed by the South Hedland Vet Clinic. Thankfully, the joey was found to be in good health and has since been placed into the care of a wildlife sanctuary for ongoing rehabilitation.

It’s a simple act, but one that reflects the kind of people we have in our team. Taking the time to help, showing compassion, and doing the right thing when no one is asking you to.

Well done, Rachel. A great example of care, initiative, and looking after the environments and communities we work in.
