Construction is now underway on our new, state-of-the-art HQ in the Perth Airport Industrial Precinct!

This important milestone was marked by a smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country led by Whadjuk Noongar Elders and attended by our partners, Skyfields by Perth Airport, Perth Airport, and Q Design + Construct.

Our new 17,100sqm facility will incorporate a specialised manufacturing workshop alongside a world-class factory acceptance testing centre and corporate head office and support our business unification and expansion goals.

“Celebrating the foundational milestone of our new headquarters with the site’s traditional custodians provides a strong and respectful footing on which to start Pacific Energy’s new chapter of growth,” said Cheryl Edwardes, Non-Executive Chair of Pacific Energy. “Together, we’ve marked the beginning of a long‑term investment in people, local capability, and Australia’s clean energy future.”

We’re pleased to announce that we’re partnering with Territory Generation to deliver the next stage of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Program.

The project will deliver large scale battery systems across TGen’s Alice Springs and Katherine power systems, enhancing system stability, reliability and operational flexibility. We’ll design, manufacture, supply, install and integrate up to 33.5MW / 81MWh of battery capacity, and provide a 10 year service agreement backed by our locally based NT team.

Building on our existing work with Territory Generation, this project reflects confidence in our capability to deliver complex, grid stabilising infrastructure and reinforces our long term commitment to local jobs and partnerships in the Territory.

We were proud to attend the Clean Energy Council's WA Clean Energy Summit 2026 as a Silver Sponsor, and came away with some valuable perspectives on where the industry is heading.

A few themes from the day resonated with our team.

Battery storage is progressing quickly, but the path to delivery is growing more complex. What looks straightforward on paper is creating real friction for many in the industry, from compliance pathways through to network operator engagement. It reinforced the value of deep, practical experience in this space - and the importance of getting the fundamentals right from day one. It is a challenge we have been successfully working through for years across our own portfolio of remote and network-connected battery systems.

A standout session from Daniel Hoy at GHD – and a familiar face to some of us here at Pacific Energy gave a compelling breakdown of how large-scale storage projects are stacking up commercially. The key takeaway: how a system is designed to make money is now just as important as how it performs technically. That thinking needs to be built in from the start, not bolted on later.

And new categories of large energy users, like data centres, are beginning to reshape infrastructure planning in ways that go well beyond simple load growth. It is a space worth watching closely.

Thanks to all the speakers for sharing their insights and keeping us connected to where the industry is heading.

Factory acceptance testing (FAT) is complete for the Mossman Gorge 1MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) we’re delivering for Energy Queensland (EQL) as part of the Ergon Energy Network’s Mossman Gorge microgrid project.

FAT is a key project milestone, where we verify the system is operating as designed before it leaves our workshop, including critical checks across controls, protection, safety systems and overall performance.

We welcomed the EQL team to our Perth facility to witness FAT and confirm the system’s readiness ahead of mobilisation.
Like all of our products, this BESS has been designed, manufactured and tested in-house in Australia.

This is our first project with EQL, and a strong example of Australian-made BESS capability supporting networks and communities across the country.
Next, we’ll mobilise, deliver to site, and move into installation and joint commissioning with EQL.

Local manufacturing and rapid deployment capabilities are critical competitive advantages in Australia's energy sector.

What our national footprint delivers:
• Over 92,000m2, workshops and hardstands across Australia
• Strategic locations in Perth, Kalgoorlie, Cue, Brisbane, Melbourne and Darwin
• Faster fabrication, quality assurance, and project mobilisation
• Local teams with deep understanding of regional conditions
• Reduced transport costs and delivery timeframes for clients

Our distributed manufacturing model means we're the only independent power provider in Australia with comprehensive in-country manufacturing capabilities, enabling us to support projects from the Pilbara to NSW with consistent quality and rapid response.

Case in point: Our geographic spread enabled us to efficiently deliver projects like Westgold’s four off-grid hybrid systems in regional WA while simultaneously delivering a fast H2 refueller for CSIRO in Melbourne.

With facilities strategically positioned across Australia's key energy markets, we deliver faster project ex*****on and better local support than competitors relying on international manufacturing.

All 16,700 solar panels for Exmouth’s new solar farm have been installed, and the batteries are landing!

Our amazing project team has also completed the solar farm’s mechanical works, and electrical works are well underway. These exciting milestones bring us so much closer to delivering an 80% renewable energy future to the Exmouth community, with the system on track to come online by mid-next year.

Once operational, this 9.6MW solar farm, working alongside 49.6MWh of battery energy storage and a 7MW gas power station, will offset nearly 14,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. Our energy shifting battery storage means Exmouth residents will have access to renewable energy even after the sun sets.

In collaboration with Horizon Power, we were excited to invite Exmouth locals onsite for a tour last week, to check out our progress firsthand and learn about how the system works.

Through this project and others like it, we're proud to build on our partnership with the WA State Government and our joint commitment to transition Western Australia's regional communities to a clean energy future.
