Schlam is excited to be exhibiting at Mining and Metals Central Asia 2026 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, joining mining professionals and industry leaders from across the region at one of Central Asia's premier mining and metallurgy events.

As global demand for copper continues to rise with the energy transition, productivity targets across Central Asia's mining sector are rising with it, and conferences like these are a great place to learn more about new technologies and products that help maximise payloads while reducing the overall cost per tonne.

Visit Schlam at Hall 9, Stand 9-015 to meet our team, and explore how we can help optimise the performance of your load and haul assets.

Before there was Hercules Truck Beds, Schlam operated a small workshop in Waroona overhauling and rebuilding loading attachments.

That original team has now grown to 39 people and also produces Barracuda buckets for Australian mines and the world. The 200th Barracuda is about to roll out of the facility.

It’s a major milestone as we expand the product range to support all loading machinery greater than 100 tonnes. We’re also building the capability of our other facilities in Australia and internationally to offer the same reliable, high quality rebuild service that helped get Schlam started.

The story behind these achievements is all about customer-focus, adaptation, innovation and people with the right attitude to deliver something exceptional.

Fair weather graced the fairway at this year's Clermont Community Golf Day, and we couldn't be prouder to have supported it. Some of our team attended, and said it was a great day and they enjoyed catching up with everyone.

This year's event carries extra significance, falling in the Clermont Golf Club's centenary year, a timely reminder of just how much the club means to the Clermont community. It's a legacy built by generations of dedicated volunteers and the ongoing support of local businesses, and it was on full display on the day.

A special thanks to the Clermont Golf Club committee: Ross Faint, Anthony Nairn, Damien Knutsen, Alistair Baker, Rohan Barnes, Aaron McPherson, Wayde Ryder, and Sally Werner, along with all the volunteers whose behind-the-scenes work keeps events like these going.

After 100 years of golfing, the club definitely knows how to have a great day on the green. Here's to 100 more!

Could it be a record year for Team Schlammertime?

With $50,000 raised so far for the MACA Cancer 200 Ride for Perkins, we are so close to the major milestone of $300,000 in total funds raised by our team over the past five years.

We’re hopeful of going way past this mark before the annual ride in October which benefits the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and its mission to make cancer non-lethal.

Thanks to everyone who has supported our team and their families as they prepare for the ride. Special mention goes to our business partners who contribute to the cause including SSAB, Bisalloy, API - Advanced Performance Industries, Charles Hull Contracting and Profreight. It is an incredible team effort.

Some of the Team Schlammertime riders have a long history with the Ride for the Perkins, having initially participated as individual entrants in the event which is now in its 15th year.

Since our first corporate team in 2022, the event has become a great symbol for how Schlam aims to contribute to the health of the communities we operate within.

In the first year, the team had 6 riders and raised almost $25,000. This year, we have already got double the riders and achieved double the funds raised.

They’ve committed to train, fundraise and ride for a cause they believe in. We’re proud to support them and our communities.

A huge thank you to Charles Hull Contracting for coming on board as a Gold Sponsor of Team Schlammertime for this year's MACA Cancer 200 Ride for the Perkins.

Their support is helping fund vital research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, bringing us closer to a future where cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease.

It's only through the generosity of sponsors, donors and our wider community that we're able to make an impact. Every contribution helps drive the research that gives hope to people and families affected by cancer.

Thank you, Charles Hull Contracting, for standing with Team Schlammertime and supporting this important cause.

The annual MACA Cancer 200 Ride for Perkins in Perth is a wonderful event that raises money for an important cause – to fund research to make cancer non-lethal. A strong Team Schlammertime will be riding again this year!

Amongst them will be our own Ian Cornfoot who will be taking on the challenge to commemorate his own cancer journey. He’ll be riding with a yellow flag on the back of the bike to signify the bowel cancer diagnosis he experienced when aged in his early 40s.

Ian says that like his journey with treatment, teamwork on the ride makes all the difference.

Two days, 200km and almost 2,000 cyclists, riding for themselves or for others, supporting each other along the way, and all making a real impact on cancer research.

We like the MACA motto: ‘it’s cancer’s turn to be afraid’. If you’d like to join us on the ride, please register here:

Productivity, cost and maintenance benefits associated with fleet standardisation applies equally to load and haul attachments as well as the machines that use them.

For one mining company, the efficiency demonstrated by their first Barracuda T2 bucket inspired them to change their whole hydraulic mining shovel fleet to the innovative loading attachment. The T2 is a light-weight, linerless bucket that has a replaceable lower shell for easy, cost-effective repairs.

Even a brand new rock bucket got the T2 treatment and was converted to the modular design.
