Our General Manager (John Goodwin) attended two in-progress projects with the Moorabool Shire – an extension to the Dunnstown Pavilion and a new Community Hub at Navigators, both projects scheduled for completion later this year.

Another huge success for our team at the Riddell's Creek Leisure Centre extension project. Creating a new multi-purpose sports room facility.

We’ve successfully completed the extension and full refurbishment of the school administration building at Tooborac Primary School.

We are greatly encouraged and happy by the positive feedback received from the client.

Another successful project completed! Sports Field Upgrade at Glenroy Central Primary School.

"SCMS were very cooperative in negotiating a contract sum when tenders were well in excess of the VSBA Budget. They provided options with significant cost savings that enabled the project to proceed. Major design issues were resolved extremely cooperatively. There were challenges with the weather delaying the sports field works but we were kept up to date with progress and provided with creative options to the order of works to enable completion. Their communication with the School and Architect was excellent and they were committed to quality. They understood the challenges of school projects and the School was very comfortable with the way the project was run."

Internal Refurbishments

Check out one of our completed projects from earlier in the year.
SCMS were able to stage some additional internal refurbishment works which included an updated TAB sports wall, internal painting, vinyl repairs and new floor coverings throughout the ground floor & stairs.
SCMS carried out these works in a live environment with staff and patrons still utilising the space.

The SCMS team were able to complete all additional works prior to the original handover date.

Catholic Regional College – North Keilor
Office Alterations

Catholic Regional College required a builder to undertake a complete refurbishment of an unused portion to an existing building located in the middle of the school campus.

The building fabric was to be demolished whilst still maintaining the existing steel frame structure & roofing.
Forming part of the scope was also to manage the schools’ incumbent trades & tie their works in with the original building scope of works of new wall, ceiling linings, wall, flooring finishes, new acoustic double-glazed external & acoustic hush laminated glazing for the internal offices.
A fresh render finish was applied on the façade to compliment the existing finishes within the campus.

A large portion of works were required to be undertaken during the Easter holiday period to limit high risk works being carried out when staff & students were away.

The final product showcases a professional internal office environment with a strong level of acoustics to ensure the space is practical & utilised for it’s intended purpose.

Overall, Catholic Regional College Federation were extremely satisfied with the delivery that SCMS was able to provide and complimented the team with the following feedback.

“Excellent level of communication with SCMS staff at all levels from onsite staff/trades and with office and senior members of the SCMS team.”

Bacchus Marsh Grammar had obtained a modular building to meet the growing demand of classroom space and offices for staff members.
The school engaged SCMS to carry out internal demolition and refurbishment of the classrooms to be predominately completed over the end of school year and January holiday period.
Internally the school requested a complete refurbishment including new floor coverings, new plasterboard ceiling, mechanical services upgrade, electrical services upgrade, DDA compliant access, timber deck, staff amenities, new aluminium doors & double glazed windows as well as acoustic panelling wall linings throughout in which SCMS successfully delivered.

The most satisfying outcome of the entire project was the glowing compliment from the school stating:
“Your attention to detail, particularly when looking to close out a project, with the SCMS team ensuring the project is handed back to BMG cleaned, well maintained and appropriately “re-instated” as it should be. This is a major point of difference between yourself and other contractors. Add to this the professionalism of the entire team and the regular communication of the status of the project, is a breath of fresh air.”
