With a considered focus on engineering and production innovation, we've come a long way since our founding in 2020.

Proven production methods are the mainstay of Australia’s mining industry. They are the backbone of an enduring and successful resources sector.

But we’re proud to have innovated during our growth phase – deploying bespoke, customised magnetic separation facilities to increase our production of high-grade magnetite for export from Extension Hill in the Mid West of Western Australia. This facility was built to perform, and it has helped us to ship over 2 million tonnes in the few short years we’ve been on site.

We’ve always prioritised efficiency to deliver value – with a focus on yield quality as opposed to production volume.

From talent to technology, we’re unburdened by concepts of how mining must be done.

We’re free from decades of established traditions, allowing us to foster a curious mindset.

Today, we honour those who have and are serving in Australia’s defence forces and reflect upon their courage and sacrifice throughout our nation’s history.

Australians from all walks of life and backgrounds share values that unite us. As well as honouring all who have served, today we pause to remember those who left their loved ones to defend these shared values and never returned.

Mateship and resilience defines the ANZAC spirit. It stands as an enduring beacon to our community, and solemn reminder as we continue to strive for a better country and world.

Before we ever set foot on site, we undertake comprehensive assessments to ensure that the path to site rehabilitation post-production sees ecology preserved and protected.

This December, many of us will be sharing precious time with family and loved ones 🫂

Not everyone at Terra Mining can enjoy this special time of year the way they would prefer. Like many industries, much of our operations continue regardless of holidays, festivals and celebrations.

Mining offers great rewards, but there’s a real cost for individuals, families and networks. Missing moments. Separation. Loneliness.

To those in the Terra Team, and throughout our supply chain, who are sacrificing this festive season – we see you. We appreciate you. What you do matters. 🚨 MILESTONE ALERT 🚨

With the departure of the SS Sarah from the Port of Geraldton last week, we've successfully reached 1 million WMT of export grade magnetite exported from Extension Hill in 2025.

That's a LOT of magnetite ore, no matter where you are stood looking at it.

With the successful commissioning of our second Dry Magnetic Separation facility onsite, we're projected to increase production at Extension Hill by over 50% next year.

With much of this years production already transformed into sustainable steel utilising lower-emission, renewable energy blast furnaces, we're helping to provide our partners with the resources they need while helping the world decarbonise 🌍🙌

Our second magnetic separation processing plant has joined the party (along with some other special dignitaries) up at Extension Hill 🥳

We were pleased to welcome the Chairman of JCHX, Mr Wang Qinghai, amongst other guests to our magnetite mine in WA's Mid West to celebrate the commissioning of this plant. This second facility now sees our production capacity onsite exceed 4m tonnes annually.

Extension Hill, fully operated by Terra Mining, is the only magnetite mine in Australia to have successfully implemented a dry magnetic separation processing facility.

Magnetic separation helps us to produce iron ore of a higher grade, suitable for sustainable steel-making that can be powered by renewables, as opposed to traditional iron ore that requires coal fired furnaces. The energy transition is a fantastic opportunity for mining to modernise, innovate and adapt.

This year, we celebrate five years of Terra Mining 🥳

We're not old by mining standards. We see that as a strength. We're not burdened with a fixed view of how mining is done. We don't measure success by decades. We measure it by how far we've come from where we started.

It's exciting to think of where we are going next.

Yes - we're young and ambitious. After five years, we've proven we have what it takes.

Our story wouldn't be possible without the partnerships that have helped us build and deliver value. Our suppliers. Our community partners. The Terra team. This journey has been a collaboration of dedicated professionals and stakeholders working diligently to navigate complex projects and deliver outcomes.

We know that we are more than the sum of our parts. Together, we're setting up to go places.

Sometimes, only a dozer will do 🤩

Pictured arriving to Geraldton Port are two of the latest additions to our growing fleet for our new project with Karara Mining.

The D11 is Caterpillar's largest and most powerful in class, capable of moving mountains of material safely at speed. Our fleet is a point of pride, and it's not just because we love big toys.

Transforming these brilliant, big rigs into assets requires talent to operate them safely and efficiently, combined with the expertise to maintain them to ensure peak production.

Our machines are an extension of our team. It's a team we can trust with big rigs, in the knowledge that they are in the best hands possible to get the most out of them.

Anything goes on Grand Final weekend 🙌

While we're sure Dipper was disappointed his Hawks didn't make the big day, we know for a fact that he was happy to spend some time with our team up at Extension Hill earlier in the year.

Terra Mining features on Big Rigs of Oz, airing this Sunday 28th September at 3PM on 9GO, with catch-up available on 9NOW.

The episode provides exclusive insight into our operations at Extension Hill as well as the future at Terra, and features dedicated segments with Managing Director Ree Dai, COO Barry Cook and several other members of our team. There's also plenty of big machines and we may, or may not, have asked Dipper to supervise a blast....you'll just have to watch to find out
