The first strain structure foundations are now being poured as work continues on a new 33kV overhead line connection between a Victorian Solar Farm and HV Transmission.

Strong progress on site, excellent teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to safety are keeping this project moving forward.

This week, our CEO Matt, & HR Manager Rachael, represented Wolff Power at the UniSQ Sip ‘n’ Share mentoring event for student and graduate engineers.

The event brought together aspiring engineers and local industry professionals for relaxed conversations over coffee, covering everything from career planning and job applications to industry expectations and life after graduation.

We’re proud to support initiatives that help bridge the gap between study and industry, giving future engineers the opportunity to build confidence, ask questions and make valuable professional connections.

We're incredibly proud to announce that Wolff Power has officially achieved Accredited Service Provider (ASP) status with Energy Queensland.

This accreditation is a significant milestone for our business and enables us to deliver construction and testing services on transmission infrastructure, further strengthening our capability to provide end-to-end, world-class energy solutions across the network.
Achievements like this don't happen overnight. They are the result of dedication, expertise, and countless hours of hard work behind the scenes.

A special congratulations and thank you to Michael Wardle and Troy Noble for the enormous effort they invested in achieving this accreditation. Your commitment, persistence and technical expertise have been instrumental in reaching this milestone, and it's an achievement the entire Wolff Power team can be proud of.

Another major milestone achieved at a Victorian Substation Construction Site

The 33kV Switchroom has now been successfully lifted, rotated and placed onto its foundations – a significant step forward for the project.

While the end result looks seamless, there's an incredible amount of planning, engineering and teamwork that goes into a lift of this scale.

By the numbers:
• 🏗️ 150-tonne all-terrain crane
• ⚖️ 40,000kg switchroom
• 🔗 Over 700kg of lifting gear including slings, shackles, spreader bars and wire rope
• 📏 Switchroom dimensions: 18.16m (L) × 4.26m (W) × 3.73m (H)
• 💪 Total factored load: 41,412kg

Getting a structure of this size into the compound was no easy feat. It required precision, experience and exceptional coordination from everyone involved. Watching the crane operators manoeuvre the switchroom into such a tight space was a masterclass in skill.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this successful lift possible, including our project partners the crane operator, rigger, dogger and the entire Wolff Power team. Projects like these are built on collaboration, planning and trust—and this milestone is a testament to that.

Well done to all involved. Onwards to the next stage! 👏⚡
