2025 D-Max 4JJ3 in for the full treatment a few weeks back 🔧

Supplied and fitted a GSL Fab 3” turbo back exhaust to get this thing breathing properly, then backed it up with a custom everyday tune tuned in-house on our Mainline dyno. Good reliable get up in it without going silly, exactly what you want in a daily/tow rig.

We also threw in a transmission tune to sort out the gear hunting under load. Anyone who’s towed with a new D-Max or BT-50 knows exactly what we’re talking about, constant hunting between gears is a factory annoyance and it’s an easy fix when you’re in there.

Dyno proven results:
155hp / 499nm stock ➡️ 201hp / 660nm tuned
That’s a 46hp and 161nm gain, all verified on the dyno.

REAL FEEDBACK FROM REAL CUSTOMERS

2021 200 series Landcruiser benefiting from one of our custom transmission calibrations paired with a emissions compliant tune from a couple weeks back. If you’re using a Toyota to tow with an auto, come see us. Engine and transmission tune packages are $1700 drive in drive out. Any diesel, we can tune for economy and more power.

Dyno tuning by itself starts at $1300, we can also multimap but only as a package with turbo back exhausts and transmission calibrations.

Another 80 Series in for a custom tune, this one a 1HD-FTE converted to FTM mechanical pump. Just to be upfront, we’re not fans of the FTE to FTM conversion — the factory electronic pump timing and pressure is superior, so you won’t catch us doing these conversions ourselves. But if it’s already done, we’re more than happy to get in there and tune it properly 🔧

This one rolled in stock, running the factory CT26 turbo, making 129hp and 361nm at the wheels. We fitted a Boost T, wound the boost up to 18psi and spent time dialling in the fuel delivery. Ended up with a solid 172hp and 469nm — that’s a 33% jump in power and 30% more torque 📈

AFRs held at a safe 16.7:1 coming on and 21:1 under boost, keeping EGTs in check and the engine protected long term. Reliable power, done right, on our in-house Mainline dyno 💪

🔧 2025 Mazda BT50 – Tow Tune Done 🔧

Got this BT50 up on the Mainline for a proper tow tune last week, exactly what the customer was after - safe and emissions compliant with solid gains across the board.

Power went from 158hp to 191hp, that’s a 20.9% increase, and torque climbed from 518Nm to 645Nm, up 24.5%. Theres still a lot left in these things but the customer asked for not too much in it. Like always we tune how you want.

Worth mentioning the converter was unlocked down low on both runs so the torque figures are inflated by roughly 60-80Nm either side, real world gain in punch and mid range pull is exactly what this thing needed for towing duties.

We ran out of time to get the transmission tuned while it was in the shop but it’s booked in next week - these BT50 and D-Max boxes really benefit from having the shifting sorted alongside the engine tune. They hunt gears like all hell while towing.

Everything verified live on the dyno before it left. This is the kind of work we do day in day out here at Redline, Darwin’s home of serious tuning capability, and yeah we still race real cars out at Hidden Valley too 💪

2009 79 Series Single Cab - 400,000kms on the clock and this old girl still cracks. 🔥

These things are built to last and this one is proof - nearly half a million k’s down and the 1VD is still doing its thing. Came in running a stock calibration, making 156hp and 351Nm at the wheels. Not bad for the age, but we knew there was more in it.

After a couple of revisions on the dyno we landed at 195hp and 542Nm - a solid jump that completely changes how these 79s drive. More torque through the mid-range means better response under load, and you’ll actually notice the fuel economy improve too. That’s the thing with a proper tune - it’s not just about the peak numbers, it’s about how the engine is working across the whole rev range.

Customer also wanted the hardcut rev limiter and a bit of personality out the back, so we added 20mg across the board for a touch of soot. She’s not subtle. 💨

If you’ve got a 79 Series - doesn’t matter how many k’s are on it - come and see us. These platforms respond really well to a safe, dyno-proven calibration and the driving experience is night and day. We tune for reliability first, then how you drive and what you want, all custom, done in house 👊

2017 Holden Colorado 2.8 Duramax - tune + Manta 3” turbo-back 🔥

Customer grabbed one of our Manta 3” turbo-back systems, fitted it himself, then brought it in for a custom tune on the dyno. Smart move.

Rolled in at 158hp and 403Nm - healthy for a standard Colorado. Rolled out at 200hp and 518Nm. That’s 42 horses and 115Nm of torque unlocked with just a exhaust and a proper tune. 💪

Colorados, D-Maxs and Tritons are some of our favourite diesels to tune - they honestly pick up the most out of any diesel platform we see, and they do it safely. Every time one comes through the door we know we’re going to put a smile on the owner’s face.
