Before steel reaches the painting bay, raw beams can carry mill scale, rust and surface contaminants that affect coating quality.

How our section blaster works:

◾ Steel Shot Media: Six high-speed internal wheels propel steel shot at the raw steel, cleaning all four sides simultaneously.
◾ 360-Degree Coverage: Removes rust, mill scale and other surface impurities in a single automated pass.
◾ Optimal Surface Profile: Creates a textured surface that helps protective paints and industrial coatings bond to the steel.

How do you create more space in a busy retail store without shutting the doors?

After more than 30 years in the same location, Chain Reaction Bicycles wanted to bring its retail, office and factory operations together under one roof, while also making room for a café.

Adex designed a floating mezzanine that could be installed without bolting into the existing building — helping navigate council requirements while keeping disruption to a minimum.

There was another challenge: every component had to fit through a doorway no bigger than a standard household door.

Despite the constraints, the mezzanine was installed in less than four days, with the entire process completed in under two weeks — while the store remained operational.

The result? A smarter use of the existing footprint, with office and insurance operations upstairs, retail downstairs, and room for a café.
