The decals are now complete on our latest addition to the MCE Industrial Services fleet — and we couldn’t be happier with the finished result.

At MCE Industrial Services, projects come in all shapes and sizes — from large-scale industrial works through to smaller, time-critical projects.

🚛 Our fleet has expanded with a second mobile blast truck setup!!

We didn’t even get time to transfer the registration to QLD registration and she is already on a job earning her keep! 😂

This particular unit has been set up to undertake smaller-scale projects with greater versatility, allowing us to service a wider variety of clients and project requirements without compromising on the quality of work MCE Industrial Services is known for.

Having a second mobile setup gives our team greater flexibility to tackle projects across industrial, infrastructure, commercial, agricultural and mining sectors, whether it’s a smaller maintenance package or part of a larger project.

It’s another investment in our equipment, our capabilities and, most importantly, our ability to deliver for our clients.

From surface preparation and abrasive blasting through to protective coating application — we’re continuing to build the capability to get the job done, wherever the job takes us.

PROTECTION THAT’S BUILT TO LAST

Another project successfully completed by MCE Industrial Services.

Following our previous post, the UV protection system applied to these externally exposed PVC scrubbers is now complete.

The objective was simple — provide long-term durability and protection against substrate degradation in an environment where the PVC is exposed to the harsh Australian elements.

MCE utilised a high-performance, UV-stable polyurethane coating system, specifically suited to provide a durable protective barrier and extend the service life of the substrate.

From surface preparation through to the final topcoat, every stage was focused on achieving a quality finish and a coating system that will continue to perform long after we’ve left site.

At MCE, it’s not just about blasting and painting.

It’s about understanding the environment, selecting the right protection system and delivering a solution designed for long-term performance.

Not everything we do at MCE Industrial Services is about blasting and painting.

Our focus is protection — and sometimes that means finding the right coating system for a very specific environmental challenge.

On this project, we’re applying a UV-stable coating system to PVC scrubbers that were originally designed for internal use but are now externally exposed.

To provide the additional protection required, our process involves:

🔹 Hand preparation of the PVC surface
🔹 Application of a specialist adhesion-promoting two pack epoxy primer
🔹 Two coats of two pack polyurethane UV-stable topcoat

The result is a coating system designed to improve the long-term protection and durability of the PVC when exposed to the harsh Australian environment.

At MCE, we don’t just apply coatings — we provide protection systems designed around the asset, the environment and the service conditions.

A great example of what correct surface preparation and a fit for purpose protective coating system can achieve.

The before image shows years of corrosion build up caused by high temperature exposure and asphalt production materials across the pulse jet baghouse.

Our team stripped the surface back, prepared the steel and applied a new high temperature protective coating system — bringing the structure back to a clean, uniform and protected finish making it ready for service.

It’s more than just making steel look good. Correct surface preparation and coating application are critical to extending asset life, protecting against corrosion and reducing long-term maintenance costs.
