A 30-year journey going further, together.

When Jason Webster started as a trainee Civil Works Operator in 1996, he had no set path in mind. Three decades on, his journey shows what’s possible when you stay curious, back yourself and invest in others.

From working across transport infrastructure to leading operations on the Homes NSW contract, Jason has built a career shaped by challenge, growth and real-world experience.

Having grown up in social housing, he brings a personal understanding of the communities Ventia supports. For Jason, the work equally about assets and performance measures as it is about people, their homes, safety and dignity.

Today, as Operations Manager for the Homes NSW contract he leads a team known for getting the basics right, supporting vulnerable tenants and delivering maintenance services with care and consistency.

Just as important as delivery is his focus on developing others. Through long-standing partnerships and mentoring, Jason has helped create pathways for people starting out or looking for a second chance, building strong teams in the process.

Ventia today reported its financial results for HY26 delivering NPATA growth of 7.4% to $128.2 million, EBITDA growth of 8.2% and an improved EBITDA margin of 9.4%. Revenue declined by 4.7%, largely due to the one-off transition to the new Base Services Contract in Defence.

Work in Hand increased to $21.1 billion, growing 2.5% on HY25, underpinned by contract wins and renewals across Transport, Water and Defence, supporting future revenue visibility.

Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, Dean Banks said: “Ventia delivered a resilient HY26 result, achieving margin expansion and earnings growth despite lower revenue in Defence. This reflects our focus on productivity and continuous improvement.

During the half, we secured seven material contracts worth $1.6 billion and achieved an exceptional 98% customer renewal rate, underscoring the strength of our customer relationships.

Over the past five years, we have built a high-quality business with a clear strategy, a strong market position and a solid foundation for future growth. I am delighted to see Mark Ralston appointed as my successor and have great confidence in Ventia’s future.”

We are excited to announce that Ventia has been selected by Transport for Victoria (TfV) to deliver maintenance services for critical transport technology assets across two Victorian regions.

The contracts cover traffic signals, intelligent transport systems, and street lighting infrastructure that plays an essential role in keeping communities connected and supporting the safe movement of people and freight.

By combining transport expertise, digital asset management capability and operational delivery experience, we'll work with TfV to support network reliability, improve asset performance and help deliver better outcomes for road users.
