Project Bucephalus Robotics - FLL and FRC An Australian robotics group that teaches STEM and runs an FLL team and FRC team 5985 The team is currently competing in the "Super-Powered" season.

Project Bucephalus Robotics is a Wollongong-based group named after the warhorse of Alexander the Great. Responsible for the creation and mentoring of FLL teams around the world, Project Bucephalus has many years of experience running robotics activities for children in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, and Sydney areas. The Project Bucephalus FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) team is made up from home-schooled children aged 9-16. They have been dubbed the Australian FLL National Champions on multiple occasions and regularly represent Australian at the International level. The Project Bucephalus FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) team was announced in 2015, and has met with fantastic results! FRC Team #5985 is competing in the 2023 "Charged Up" season.

5985 is proud to continue "Impact Perspectives" for the 2027 FRC season: a mentoring program for any FRC team wanting to improve their Impact submission and/or update to the new format!

As a Hall Of Fame team from outside the USA, 5985 offers a different way of looking at things. We can help identify blind spots and bias in a gentle (or brutal) in-depth review.

It's been a busy week for 5985!

Kicking off the October School Holidays with the annual Costal Clash Scrimmage. Followed by volunteering at them Camden Colour Frenzy Colour Run.

Then a visit from Jerry from AndyMark for Mentor Andrew - who after 6 and half months in the hospital has made his way to rehab!

Next was 5985's FIRST LEGO League day, seeing 7 teams come to the workshop development and collaboration. The week was then finished off with the Shoalhaven Robo Camp.

Get ready to grow with BIOGLOW!

In this online workshop Project Bucephalus will be sharing knowledge from 17 years of competition experience, working to improve the FLL experience for everyone. Whether you're a rookie or veteran in FIRST LEGO League Challenge (Founders Eddition), this team-run workshop will offer something to improve your season: from analysis of the "BIOGLOW Founders Eddition" Robot game to picking an Innovation Project.

APOC day 4:

The say started with the Alliance Challenge. Project Bucephalus was partnered with Robocie from Brazil. Together the Aliiance finished rank 8, making it to the play-offs.

After lunch, it was time for the Closing and Awards ceremony.

It was a win for Wollongong with the Project Bucephalus being awarded 1st Place Core Values Award and Dobby's Sock being awarded 1st Place Innovation Project.

The Unearthed season of FLL has now come to an end.
