A Moment With... Jamie

Meet Jamie, our Construction Supervisor based across the Wollongong and Wilton-Appin offices.

Jamie brings over 10 years' experience as a carpenter and Construction Supervisor to the G.J. Gardner team. His role is all about overseeing builds from start to finish, coordinating trades and making sure every home is built to the quality standards our clients expect.

What does he love most about building? "Seeing the process from start to finish and handing the keys over to clients."

Three years ago, Jamie and his family made the move from Bondi, leaving the city rat race behind for a lifestyle they couldn't pass up.
What does he love about the Illawarra? "Beaches, rainforests, bushland - all within five minutes in any direction."

Jamie lives in Calderwood Valley with his wife and two young boys, and they've settled into the area with no regrets.

When asked to describe himself in three words, Jamie says: easy going, relaxed and approachable.

The team at New Image Kitchens has the framework in for the kitchen, while Beaumont Tiles is ensuring the bathroom shines.... and at this stage, you can see exactly how much of a knockout this build is going to be on completion!

Under One Roof

Recently, our construction team came together for our first combined team meeting at our Shoalhaven office in South Nowra.

New desks are in. Tech has been installed. And as you can see, the lads are thrilled to be sharing the same space!

In all seriousness, getting the team under one roof means better communication, smoother handovers between projects, and a whole lot less time spent chasing people down across four different locations.

It's one of those behind-the-scenes changes that makes a real difference to how we operate, and ultimately, to how your build runs.
