SEDA College NT has officially launched its 2026 Construction & Trade Program, creating real opportunities for Year 11 students to explore careers in construction — and McMahon Services Australia Pty Ltd and Intract Australia are proud to be part of it as industry partners.

Delivered in partnership with the Housing Industry Association (HIA), the program allows students to complete their secondary education while undertaking a nationally recognised Certificate II in Construction Pathways, with genuine industry connection built in.

The launch, held in the MSA/Intract workshop, was a fantastic celebration of what’s possible when education and industry come together. Students explored mini trade displays across plumbing, welding, carpentry and electrical, checked out a loader up close, and enjoyed a BBQ breakfast while HOT100 supported and welcomed the guests.

Through this partnership, McMahon Services NT and Intract Australia are supporting students with hands-on exposure, mentorship, and workplace experience — helping them build confidence and see a clear future in the industry.

With strong support from government, local industry and employers, this program is a great example of education and industry working together to create genuine opportunities for young Territorians

We’re excited to walk alongside these students throughout 2026 and help support the next generation of construction professionals in the Territory.

Our largest washer and dryer installation has now been completed at Salvos – House 49 in Darwin, and the washers look great.

The Salvation Army team and clients are very grateful, as the previous machines were not commercial or coin-operated, making it difficult for clients to get washing done. This new setup will make a real difference for people staying at House 49.

Another great collaboration with Intract, McMahon Services Australia Pty Ltd, MBL Electrical, Rhino Industrial and Express Signs.

Thank you to everyone involved for helping make a positive impact in our community.

Washer/Dryer at Kullaru Pty Ltd Darwin

Last week Intract donated a washer to Kullaru Pty Ltd, a training organisation that has been supporting Intract staff with training for Rum Jungle.

Kullaru does far more than deliver training. They support the people who attend by providing meals, access to a shower, and a friendly place to sit and have a yarn. They now also offer the opportunity for people to wash their clothes while they are in Darwin for training.

Kullaru, much like Intract, doesn’t limit itself to its core business. They consistently go above and beyond, welcoming everyone who walks through their doors as family and providing support whenever it is needed.
