We have been in our house for 8 years and never done a solar panel clean before. Reading the article in the Little Aussie Communities brochure about Brendan and his local business Boutique Solar gave us food for thought, because it seemed very logical that the exposure to weather and dirt will likely reduce the panel performance over time. So, we booked in and when the day came Brendan arrived on time and did a fantastic job. So we were asked to inspect a site and there was a 30kw system that hadn't been serviced in over a year. The owner had noticed a dramatic spike in the energy bill
We found both inverters not working being on a mezzanine level out of sight out of mind situation.

Fronius Error Code 475
An earth fault detected somewhere
Water and damaged cable or panel
Not a good combo

The issue was the installer had run their cables behind the tin foot
Then either tightening the foot to level the rail or adjusting the height during panel laying process

Squashing and pinching the cable exposing it to inclimate weather

Solution
Re run a new return cable bypassing the squished one eliminating the fault
