Northern Building & Construction are currently seeking skilled carpenters to join our team on a variety of high end residential and commercial projects.

If you have a passion for craftsmanship and meet the following requirements, we want to hear from you!

Requirements:
• Cert III in Carpentry
• QBCC Carpentry Licence (preferred)
• White Card (current)
• Strong work ethic, motivated, professional and a good communicator
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Own vehicle and tools
• NBC sites are based across the Atherton Tablelands and Douglas Shire. Accommodation is provided when required

If you’ve driven past the Evelyn Pioneer Hall recently, you may have noticed some changes.

While locals have many fond memories of the Hall in its heyday, it has fallen into considerable disrepair, due to lack of use and therefore lack of maintenance.

Northern Building & Construction has been contracted to undertake the dismantling of the structure, on behalf of our wonderful local client, who has a deep passion for sustainable building practices.

All hardwood timber and salvageable materials from the Hall will be used to construct a one-of-a-kind home in Far North Qld, built with sustainably sourced materials.

The Hall was acquired during a recent private sale and all works are being carried out with TRC approval and necessary permits.

We have delighted in hearing the many fond memories our client has of attending birthdays, weddings and shindigs at the Hall, and naturally they jumped at the opportunity to purchase the dilapidated building and give it a new lease on life.

Our hope is that the amazing memories the local community hold around the Evelyn Pioneer Hall will live on in the spirit and bones of the structure in its new form.
