Pfixx Solar Aruba is constructing a Solar Parking Area at the airport of Aruba. After finishing this project 3.5 % of the energy in Aruba will be produced with this Solar Park. The extra benefit for the airport is that all the parking space will be in shade. The Solar Park can provide 3.5 MW of energy, enough to power at peak performance 2,000 homes. When completed, it will be the largest photovol

taic carport in the Caribbean. The solar park will consist of 14,000 solar modules, each of 250 kw peak. It 24,000 square meter garage when completed, consisting of seven sections. The canopies will increase gradually in height from east to west by 8 degrees to provide the most efficient utilization of the sun’s path, with a difference of 2.5 meters from start to finish. Capability is possible for 3.5 MW at peak production, or 6.5 million KW hours.
