AIUB Community of Engineering Students - ACES

Vision:

To be a professional student organization in providing excellent welfare and services as well as acquiring academic excellence for students of Faculty of Engineering. ACES also envision a world in which the communities we serve have the capacity to sustainably meet their basic human needs and that our members have enriched global perspectives through the innovative professional educationa

l opportunities that the ACES provides. Mission:

The mission of the ACES targets four main areas; i) working to increase engineering awareness through its programs and events ii) fostering the professional advancement of all engineering student iii) improving the quality of life of disadvantaged communities through implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects iv) creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders. Main purposes of ACES:

• Build connections between the university and industries.
• Provide opportunities for its members to make contributions to their local/global communities.
• Provide platform to students for exhibiting their talent in co-curricular/extracurricular activities.
• Bridging between the alumni and current students of faculty of engineering.
• To develop leadership qualities in students by arranging seminars and invited talks, acquiring knowledge in state-of the-art Engineering etc.
• To honor outstanding engineering students who have excelled in character, leadership and volunteer activities.
• Networking with other Engineers from various organizations and Institutions.
• Develop ethics that require the highest level of integrity and honesty
• To develop research groups amongst the students.
• To assist in the activities of department as well as AIUB.
• To organize engineering week, science fair, career fair, alumni get-together and study tour.
• To publish a magazine where the success/ events/ activities related to Faculty of Engineering/ ACES/ Other Clubs of AIUB will be published.
