Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update Leaks [I9505XXUFNA1]
We had been discussing about how OEMs like Samsung, HTC and Sony would take time to roll out Android 4.4 for their high-end devices but it seems like Sammobile is eager to release the update on their site right before Samsung rolls it out to their devices in any part of the world. Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Samsung Galaxy S4 has been leaked online and is available for download. You can flash it just like how you flash any regular stock Samsung firmware using Odin. While this increases the binary flash counter, you can reset it using Triangle Away app.
Though the update will roll out officially in February or March, you can download it right now from the links given below. The firmware has been given the build number I9505XXUFNA1 and is meant for Galaxy S4 I9505 only and not for any other variant of the device.
This is a test build and may not be the same firmware that you can expect when it is out officially. However, after testing it for 5 days, folks at Sammobile have found it to be pretty stable. A few noticeable changes include the tint of status bar icons which has been changed from Green to stock KitKat style White icons. Apart from this, a shortcut to the camera app has been added to the lockscreen. The performance as expected as been increased with a rise in benchmark scores. Backup Data

Steps to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat on Galaxy S4 I9505
Extract the contents of the zip file you downloaded from links above and open Odin.
Boot your Galaxy S4 into download mode. To do this, press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons.
Connect the phone to the PC via USB cable and wait for ID:Com section to turn blue. If it doesn’t, you need to have the correct device drivers installed on your PC.
Up next, click AP in Odin and select the file I9505XXUFNA1_I9505OXAFNA1_I9505XXUFNA1_HOME.tar.md5
Make sure Re-partition is NOT ticked.
Click Start button and wait for the firmware to be flashed to your phone.
Your phone should reboot but if you face any issues while booting, you need to wipe data via recovery mode.
To do this, turn off the device and boot into recovery mode by pressing Home+power+vol up buttons.
Select wipe data/factory reset. This will wipe all data on the device including internal SD card.
Select Reboot system now to reboot the device.
With this, your Galaxy S4 should boot into official Android 4.4.2 firmware. If you face any issues, feel free to comment below.
