The CUET SPE Student Chapter successfully concluded its Annual General Meeting and Prize-Giving Ceremony!

We are delighted to welcome our new Executive Committee for the 2026–2027 session and celebrate the remarkable contributions of the outgoing 2025–2026 committee. The chapter’s achievements and progress over the past year stand as a testament to their dedication, hard work and exceptional leadership.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Faculty Advisor, Md. Mizanur Rahman sir(Assistant Professor), along with our respected faculty members and enthusiastic students, whose continuous support and commitment have been instrumental in our journey.

Quiz & Poster Presentation Competition 2026

CUET SPE Student Chapter # 6268 successfully organized a "Quiz and Poster Presentation Competition" on 27 August 2026.

Students from the 22 and 24 batch of PME actively participated in the event, showcasing their creativity, technical knowledge, and enthusiasm for the petroleum sector.

This event played a valuable role in developing students' understanding of the petroleum industry and helped enrich the scope for future research and innovation.

We were honored to have the following faculty members as judges of the poster presentation:

2. Omar Hayaat, Lecturer, PME, CUET

We are pleased to invite you to a webinar on "Unlocking the Future: A Tech-Driven Workshop on Geo-Storing COâ‚‚ with Advanced Simulation Software," proudly organized by the CUET SPE Student Chapter #6268. Join us on 15 January at 9:00 PM via Google Meet.

This technical session will feature by Fahim Habib, a CUET alumnus (PME’16), who is currently pursuing his MSc in Petroleum Engineering at University Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia.

From this session we can learn :

1.Understand the future role of geological COâ‚‚ storage in global climate mitigation and sustainable energy transitions.

2.Apply advanced simulation software to model COâ‚‚ injection, migration, and trapping in deep geological formations.

3.Visualize and interpret different advanced software under different reservoir, operational, and environmental conditions.

4.Connect simulation outputs with real-world engineering decisions, highlighting how digital technologies support safe and efficient COâ‚‚ storage projects.
