Stat-X® Condensed Aerosol Fire Suppression Systems
Optimum Engineers Ltd. proudly supplies, installs, and commissions the Stat-X® Condensed Aerosol Fire Suppression System, representing the pinnacle of advanced fire protection technology. Engineered to replace outdated, space-consuming gas and water-based systems, Stat-X® provides a compact, highly effective, and environmentally friendly solution for protecting your most critical industrial and commercial assets.
How Stat-X® Works: The Science of Suppression
Unlike traditional systems that extinguish fires by oxygen deprivation or cooling, Stat-X® operates at the molecular level. Upon activation, the non-pressurized solid compound undergoes a controlled combustion process, generating an ultra-fine, potassium-based aerosol.
Comprising 70% solid condensed particles and 30% carrier gases (primarily Nitrogen), this highly buoyant aerosol quickly floods the protected space. With a mean particulate diameter of just 1 to 2 microns, the potassium radicals (K) directly interact with the flame’s free radicals (OH, H, and O), chemically interrupting the combustion chain reaction and extinguishing the fire within seconds.
Key Features & Engineering Benefits
Superior Fire Knockdown: Highly effective against Class A (surface), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (energized electrical) fire hazards.
Zero Piping or Manifolds: Operates without the need for expensive pressure vessels, distribution piping networks, or complex nozzle alignments, significantly reducing installation time and costs.
Ultimate Space & Weight Savings: Offers up to a 90% reduction in weight and space footprint compared to conventional halocarbon or CO2 gas systems.
Unmatched Environmental Safety: Features Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP), Zero Global Warming Potential (GWP), and zero atmospheric lifetime.
Personnel Safe: U.S. EPA SNAP listed as acceptable for use in normally occupied and unoccupied spaces at recommended design concentrations.
No Thermal Breakdown: Unlike HFC clean agents, the Stat-X® aerosol does not break down in the presence of extreme heat, ensuring no highly toxic or corrosive by-products (like hydrofluoric acid) are generated during a fire event.
Minimal Post-Fire Maintenance: The buoyant aerosol is easily vented out of the room post-discharge, and any minor settled particulate can be wiped clean with a simple water and vinegar solution, drastically reducing operational downtime.
