Chittagong Club Limited signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Consortium of Bluenergy Solutions Ltd and Gtech Infrastructure Limited for the implementation of a 96.72 kWp solar power project under the OPEX solar model with a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 11 years.

The signing ceremony, titled “A Landmark Solar OPEX Partnership,” marks a historic achievement as Chittagong Club Limited becomes the first solarized social club in Bangladesh. A huge congratulations to the prestigious Chittagong Club Limited for taking this remarkable step toward sustainability and clean energy adoption.

The ceremony was attended by Commander Md. Shahnewaz Kabir, BN (Retd), Secretary of Chittagong Club Limited, and DM Abu Bakar Siddique, Managing Director & CEO of Gtech Infrastructure Limited, representing the Consortium of Bluenergy Solutions Ltd. and Gtech Infrastructure Limited, along with other senior officials from both organizations.

Under this agreement, the consortium will develop and implement the rooftop solar power system aimed at reducing dependence on conventional energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and promoting environmentally responsible operations.

The initiative reflects the growing adoption of OPEX-based solar solutions in Bangladesh, enabling institutions and organizations to transition to renewable energy without significant upfront investment. The project is expected to generate long-term environmental and economic benefits while contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and supporting the country’s renewable energy goals.

Gtech Infrastructure Ltd. has successfully commissioned two rooftop Solar PV systems for Loyal Apparels Ltd. and Loyal Apparels Knitting Division, proud concerns of Ritzy Group, reinforcing the group’s commitment to sustainable and energy efficient industrial operations.

The first installation at Loyal Apparels Ltd. features a 127.72 kWp Solar PV system with an expected annual generation capacity of approximately 206.2 MWh of clean electricity. The second installation at Loyal Apparels Knitting Division consists of a 178.56 kWp Solar PV system, expected to generate nearly 285.0 MWh annually.

Installed with engineering precision and operational reliability, both systems are designed to support uninterrupted industrial production while reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and lowering carbon emissions. (Unit-2), Komlapur, Comilla, a proud concern of Farid Group, one of Bangladesh’s major manufacturers of netting and rope products. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to advancing industrial operations through efficient and environmentally responsible energy solutions.

Installed on a tin shed facility with engineering precision and operational reliability, the system is expected to generate approximately 368.6 MWh of clean electricity annually, supporting uninterrupted production while reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and lowering carbon emissions.

The signing ceremony was recently held at the corporate office of Gtech Infrastructure Limited in Dhaka in the presence of Mr. D M Abu Bakar Siddique, Managing Director & CEO of Gtech Infrastructure Ltd., Mr. Mohammad Mostafa Kamal, Head of Operations, Textile Focus, Mr. Md Rakibul Islam, Special Correspondent, Textile Focus, alongside senior representatives from both organizations.

Under the partnership, Textile Focus will support industry focused communication, knowledge sharing and promotional initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of industrial rooftop solar systems and clean energy solutions within the textile industry.
