Attention all space enthusiasts! We are thrilled to announce that the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology is embarking on a new satellite project.

This project is focused on advancing the field of satellite communication and developing new technologies to enhance connectivity around the world. Our team of professors and students will be working on everything from developing new modulation and coding schemes, to designing innovative antenna systems, to testing and optimizing satellite hardware and software.

We are excited to share this journey with all of you and keep you updated on the progress of this groundbreaking project. Follow the AUSTSat page for regular updates, and stay tuned for more details on how you can get involved.

This is an exciting opportunity for our university to make a real impact in the field of satellite communication, and we can't wait to see what the future holds. Let's blast off together!

First Images Captured by the James Webb Space Telescope 🪐

On Monday, July 11, US President Joe Biden unveiled one of the first photographs captured by the James Webb Space Telescope at a White House event.

This is the most detailed and brightest infrared image of the distant universe yet captured by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. This image of the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723, also known as Webb's First Deep Field, is rich in detail. Thousands more galaxies, including the faintest infrared objects ever detected, have appeared for the first time in Webb's field of vision. This portion of the enormous universe encompasses a piece of sky roughly the size of a sand grain held at arm's length by a person on the ground.

Just the beginning, James Webb will continue to amaze us...

The organizing team of MindSparks 22, is expecting dynamic hardworking applicants for 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐄𝐗𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 who are ready to take up the challenge of a tremendous experience, and make the event a great success! Fab Lab Dhaka

Fab Lab Dhaka is a makerspace in Dhaka. They are based out of a co-working space called moar, and currently working on building the community. They provide all kinds of tools, equipment, and knowledge sharing to support the maker's needs. They welcome all ages.

They are creating an open­ access lab focused on the maker community, advocating local innovation and providing resource for inventors and entrepreneurs of Dhaka.
