We've always pictured robots as cold, rigid, and a little intimidating, all metal joints and mechanical movements. But what if robots could actually be soft?
That's exactly what Soft Robotics is about. Instead of hard shells and stiff frames, these machines are built from flexible, elastic materials that can bend, stretch, and move the way living things do. Think of an octopus wrapping its arm around something, or the way your hand naturally adjusts its grip without you even thinking about it.
The real world is messy, unpredictable, and full of fragile things, including us. A soft robot can pick up a ripe tomato without crushing it, squeeze through tight spaces during a rescue mission, or assist a patient without anyone feeling unsafe.
What makes this field exciting isn't just the engineering, it's the shift in thinking. We stopped asking how to make machines stronger and started asking how to make them smarter about being gentle. Soft robotics is about giving machines something we never thought to design for before, a little bit of humanity.

What if computers could think more like the human brain?

Neuromorphic Computing is an approach to building systems that mimic how neurons and synapses work. Instead of processing information in a straight, step-by-step way, these systems learn, adapt, and respond more like living brains, making them faster and more energy-efficient for complex tasks.

It opens the door to smarter machines that don’t just compute, but understand patterns in a more natural way. The future of computing might not just be powerful—it might be intelligent in a completely new sense.

Have you ever searched something online and found almost nothing—or only one-sided information? That’s called a Data Void.

It happens when there’s very little reliable content about a topic, making it easy for misleading or biased information to take over. In such spaces, what appears first often shapes what people believe.

Data voids show that the internet isn’t always complete or balanced. Sometimes, what’s missing can be just as powerful as what’s present.

Ever imagined your online world being shaped by systems that don’t really understand you?

Algorithmic Colonialism happens when technology built in powerful regions starts influencing lives everywhere, without fully considering local culture, language, or reality. The content we see, the opportunities we get, and even how we’re judged can be guided by systems designed for someone else’s world.

It’s subtle, but powerful. And it reminds us that technology should represent everyone, not just the places where it’s created.

🇧🇩 26th March – Independence Day

On this proud day, Dhaka College IT Club pays deep respect to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Their courage and sacrifice gave us an independent Bangladesh—a nation we proudly call our own.

This day reminds us that our freedom came with great sacrifice. As we move forward in a world of technology and innovation, may we carry their spirit within us—to build, create, and contribute to a stronger, smarter Bangladesh.

We remember, we honor, we move forward. ❤️💚

Ever noticed how you don’t try to remember everything anymore? That’s Cognitive Offloading!

It’s the habit of relying on technology—like phones, notes, or search engines—to store and process information instead of your brain. From saving contacts to Googling facts, we shift mental effort to devices.

While it makes life easier and faster, it also changes how we think, learn, and remember. In a world full of smart tools, the real question is—what should we remember, and what should we let go?

Not all attacks happen after AI is built—some happen before it even learns. Data Poisoning Attacks occur when malicious data is secretly inserted into a training dataset to manipulate how an AI system behaves. By corrupting the learning process, attackers can cause models to make wrong predictions, overlook threats, or behave unpredictably.

As AI becomes more powerful, protecting the data it learns from is just as important as protecting the systems themselves.
