**About the Role:**
At SmartData Technologies Ltd., we are pioneering the future of connectivity. We are seeking a highly motivated **Junior Embedded IoT Engineer (Intern)** to design, integrate, and support next-generation enterprise IoT solutions. Working closely with our engineering leadership, you will play a hands-on role in developing innovative smart city infrastructure, industrial automation systems, and custom IoT solutions tailored for the Bangladesh market.
**What You Will Do (Responsibilities):**
* **Prototyping & Development:** Design, build, and test robust embedded IoT solutions from the ground up.
* **Hardware Interfacing:** Handle sensor data interpretation, calibration, and hardware integration.
* **System Integration:** Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to seamlessly integrate edge devices into existing enterprise architectures.
* **Data & Analytics:** Develop and maintain data collection tools for real-time machine performance monitoring.
* **Advanced R&D:** Assist in designing fault detection algorithms and contribute to implementing machine learning models for predictive maintenance.
* **Technical Support:** Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance to maintenance teams resolving field issues.
**Who You Are (Requirements):**
**Core Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering (CSE/EEE), or a related technical field.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record in electronics development and IoT prototyping.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working effectively both autonomously and collaboratively.
**Hardware & Firmware Skills (Required):**
* **Programming:** Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
* **Development Environments:** Strong experience with Arduino Firmware Software Development (PlatformIO, Arduino IDE).
* **Microcontrollers/SBCs:** Hands-on experience working with Atmega (328p, 2560), ESP8266, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi.
* **Communication Protocols:** Solid understanding of I2C, SPI, UART, Modbus, MQTT, HTTP, ESP-NOW, and LoRa.
* **Circuitry:** Demonstrated experience or strong understanding of PCB Schema, Layout, tracking, printing, and testing.
**Software & Cloud Skills (Bonus / Nice-to-Have):**
* **OS & Databases:** Proficiency in Linux (shell scripting, services, cronjobs) and databases like PostgreSQL and InfluxDB.
* **Cloud Platforms:** Familiarity with AWS or Azure IoT architectures.
* **Machine Learning:** Basic understanding of ML techniques (regression analysis, classification algorithms) and industrial control systems.
