Position: Site Engineer ( Civil)
Job Location: Shahjadpur, Gulshan, Dhaka

Educational Requirement: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience : 3–5 years of experience in retrofitting work

Skills Required:
- Site supervision and construction ex*****on
- Knowledge of building materials and construction methods
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Bangladesh
- Knowledge of HSE standards

Key Responsibilities
· Plan, supervise, and manage civil retrofitting projects from initiation to completion.
· Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely project ex*****on.
· Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
· Conduct site inspections, monitor work progress, and prepare project status reports.
· Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation efficiently.
· Review engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
· Resolve site-related technical issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
· Ensure all work complies with local regulations and client requirements.
· Preparation of estimates & BOQ

Key Responsibilities
• Perform structural analysis and design for Steel Tower, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Factory, and Garments Buildings.
• Prepare structural drawings, Steel & reinforcement detailing, bar bending schedules (BBS), and construction documents.
• Prepare structural calculation reports, BOQ, engineering assessments, and technical reports.
• Conduct structural assessments and safety evaluations of existing buildings.
• Prepare and review design and reports in compliance with BNBC, ACI, ASTM, RSC & DIFE requirements.
• Support factory compliance projects, remediation works, and structural safety audits.
• Review and implement RSC & DIFE Standard Drawings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Requirements
• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in structural design, assessment.
• Must have knowledge of steel structural design for buildings, towers and other infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro & AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Experience in factory, industrial, and garments sector projects will be highly preferred.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, and other structural analysis and design software will be considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of BNBC, ACI, ASTM, RSC & DIFE standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities
· Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
· Set, distribute, and achieve KPI on a regular project basis to achieve the goal.
· Check the bills of quantities submitted by the contractors
· Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach agreements in favor of the firm.
· Help the finance team to prepare the invoice as well as collect the GR on a timely basis.
· Having knowledge on different authority permissions as well as the approval process.
· Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
· Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
· Acquire equipment and materials and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
· Prepare weekly and monthly reports of each project and share it to the concerned team members.
· Identify project challenges and document the solutions as per requirements.
· Having the ability to take decision on pressure environment.
· Hire contractors and other staff and allocate detailed responsibilities
· Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc., and give them guidance when needed
· Focusing on safety and ensuring that all workers adhere to set safety standards.
· Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
· Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
· Any other task as assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements and skills
· Proven experience as a construction project manager
· In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
· Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards
· Good knowledge of MS Office
· Familiarity with construction/ project management software
· Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills
· A team player with leadership abilities
· PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage

Experience Requirements: at least 10 years + in Developer/ Real Estate/ Building Construction as a Project Manager
