RoboSub 2026 – The Journey Continues
RoboSub 2026 once again proved that Bangladesh belongs among the world's leading autonomous underwater robotics teams.

Our journey began in 2017 with a vision to take Bangladesh into the global autonomous underwater robotics community. Since then, BRACU Duburi has continued to raise the bar, winning the Best Rookie Team Award (2022), becoming World Runner-Up and Ingenuity Award winner (2023) and earning the Best Entrepreneurship Award (2025).

In 2025, our alumni-founded Dubotech Digital Ltd. became our Title Sponsor, reflecting how BRACU Duburi is not only building robots but also creating the next generation of engineers, entrepreneurs and defense technology leaders for Bangladesh.

This year's journey was one of our toughest. Visa issues limited our travelling team to just six members, key robot components were damaged during shipment and we faced multiple technical failures throughout the competition. Despite every challenge, the team never gave up.

After narrowly missing direct qualification in the semifinals, we fought back through the Wild Card round to secure a Global Top 8 finish among 58 of the world's best autonomous underwater robotics teams.

For nearly a decade, BRACU Duburi has consistently represented Bangladesh at the highest level of underwater robotics. More importantly, we have helped build a growing robotics ecosystem, inspiring new teams and producing engineers who continue to contribute to academia, industry and national technology development.

RoboSub 2026 wasn't just another competition, it was another chapter in our journey of proving that Bangladesh can compete with the world's best in autonomous technology
