I'm gaining my expertise on structural analysis and design of RCC, and Steel building following BNBC 2006, BNBC 2020, ACI, ASCE, AISC, RSC codes and guidelines. বাড়ি নির্মান করবেন, ক্লিয়ার কভার সম্পর্কে জানুন।।

পর্যাপ্ত clear cover মেইনটেইন না করলে রড এ মরিচা পরে, ফায়ার অথবা সরাসরি হিট এর কারণে রডের expansion হয় এতে করে কংক্রিট এ ফাটল আসে এবং আপনার ভবনের স্ট্রেংথ এবং স্থায়ীত্বটা নষ্ট হয়। তাই ভবন নির্মাণের সময় পর্যাপ্ত Clear Cover মেইনটেইন করুন।
তো জেনে নেওয়া যাক সচরাচর যে রকম Clear Cover রাখা হয়;
√ Pile & Pile Cap: 3” বা 75mm at all side.
√ Footing: 3” at all side.
√ Mat/ Raft: Bottom & Side 3”, Top 2” বা 50mm.
√ Short Column/ Pedestal: 3” at all side.
√ Grade Beam: 2.5” to 3” at all sides.
√ Under Ground Water Tank: Outer Side 2.5” to 3” & Inner Side 2”
√ Typical Beam: 1.5”
√ Typical Slab & Stair: Bottom 1” Top ¾” & Side 1.5”
√ Column: 1.5” at all face
√ Over Head Tank: Water Face 2” & Outer Face 1” o 1.5"
√ Lift Core & Shear wall: 1.5” at all face.
Note: সরাসরি মাটিং সংস্পর্শের কাঠামোর ক্ষেত্রে কমপক্ষে 2.5” কাভারিং প্রদান করতে হবে।

আমার প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে মিস্ত্রি রা কি স্ট্রাকচার এর ফিলিংস বুঝে, হুট্ করে মালিক পক্ষকে বলে দেয় স্ল্যাব এ রড কম দিসে, বিম এ রড কম দিসে। মোমেন্ট, শেয়ার ফোর্স , এক্সিয়াল ফোর্স , টর্শন এইগুলা হলো একটা স্ট্রাকচার এর ফিলিংস, Engineer রা analysis করে এইগুলোর রেজাল্ট এর ভিত্তিতে তারপর রড এবং কাঠামোর size নির্ধারণ করে. যেখানে যতখানি লাগবে সেখানে ততটুকু ই দেয়া একজন enginner এর দায়িত্ব। কেন অযথা রড বেশি দিয়ে uneconomic Design সে করবে।
রোগ নির্ণয় এবং চিকিৎসা ডাক্তারদের কাজ , ওষুধ বিক্রেতাদের নয়.
