What started as a brand new day and a brand new challenge turned into a day filled with ideas, problem-solving, teamwork, and competition.

From brainstorming solutions to building under pressure, our participants put their skills to the test and took a swing at the challenge.

Every generation has a defining moment. For Bangladesh, 5th August stands as one of them.

Today, we commemorate Student Uprising Day by honoring the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the students and citizens who stood up for the future they believed in. We remember those who risked—and, for many, gave—their lives in pursuit of justice, dignity, and a better Bangladesh.

We also pay tribute to the students of ULAB, alongside countless others across the country, whose determination became part of a defining chapter in our nation's history.

May we continue to carry forward the values of courage, unity, and hope, while honoring the sacrifices that have shaped the path toward a brighter future.

Despite the heavy rain, our first UCPC General Meeting of Summer 2026 was a success! Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and joined us, we couldn’t have done it without you.

The meeting began with a welcome from our President, followed by an introduction to the new Executive Committee and our vision for the semester ahead. We also had an interactive discussion with our members, gathering valuable feedback and suggestions that will help shape the future of UCPC. We listened and noted everything so we can make the necessary steps to make your ideas into action.

Our General Secretary shared his journey with UCPC through project showcases, hackathons, and competitive programming, while introducing exciting plans for the coming months. We're especially looking forward to our upcoming workshops to help students grow as developers, so stay tuned!

To conclude the session, we presented certificates to the volunteers whose time and effort to made our recent events a success. We're incredibly grateful for your contributions, and we look forward to cooperating with you more.

This is just the beginning of an exciting semester, and we can't wait to learn, build, compete, and grow together. See you at our upcoming events!

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 is an interdisciplinary seminar organized by the ULAB Language Club in collaboration with ULAB Computer Programming Club - UCPC. It reflects the ULAB Language Club's commitment to expanding conversations beyond traditional language learning and into the future of language research and innovation.

Discover how artificial intelligence, computational science, and linguistics come together through the project "𝐀𝐧 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 (𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐓) 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞." Developed by undergraduate students of ULAB, the project aims to bridge communication between Bangla, English, and the Marma language while contributing to the digital preservation of one of Bangladesh's indigenous languages through AI-powered translation.
