As part of a three-day official tour, H.E. Ambassador Rüdiger Lotz visited Chattogram.

The visit commenced at the United Chattogram Power Plant in Anwara, a 590MW facility reflecting United Group’s continued role as one of Bangladesh’s leading independent power producers.
United Group Chairman and Managing Director Moinuddin Hasan Rashid guided Ambassador Lotz through the facility, including the gas turbine, steam turbine, generator systems, and onsite operational support in collaboration with Germany’s Siemens Energy.

The visit concluded with a luncheon discussion between Ambassador Lotz and senior executives of United Group on Bangladesh’s growing energy ambitions, the importance of long-term energy resilience, and the role of international collaboration in advancing sustainable development.
