"You are literally made of stardust!" Have you ever wondered, as you looked up at the night sky, "What do the stars look like?" Well, here's something even crazier: you are made of the same stuff. The carbon in your cells, the calcium in your bones, the iron in your blood — all of it was forged inside stars billions of years ago. A massive explosion known as a supernova occurs when massive stars reach the end of their lives and release all of their heavy elements into space. Those atoms float around, join clouds of gas and dust, and eventually form new stars, planets... and people. So, in a nutshell, you are stardust, a fragment of the universe trying to comprehend itself. Next time you feel small, remember: You weren't just made by the universe; it also made you from the best matter it had.

Earth is one of the planets in our solar system. We know the Amazon is the heart of the earth and the
ocean is the heart of our planet But the Earth's Heartbeat ? Everyone may think it's a joke, but it's
actually true. Scientists have proven that the Earth has a heartbeat. The Earth’s heartbeat cannot be
heard with your ears. It is comprised of extremely low frequency electromagnetic waves. Earth actually
has two (electrical) heartbeats. A direct current circuit operates continuously across the entire planet
driven by everything from lightning to fair weather currents. About 50 times lighting flashes every
second on earth discharging bursts of ultra-low-frequency energy into the atmosphere. The waves
combine and amplify each other producing an electromagnetic effect known as a Schumann resonance.
This resonance with a primary frequency of about 7.83 Hertz. The frequency 7.83 Hz has been called the
Earth’s “Heartbeat.” Progressively weaker harmonics have been measured at around 14.3, 20.8, 27.3,
and 33.8 Hz. The resonances fluctuate with variations in the ionosphere, with the intensity of solar
radiation playing a major part. The Schumann Resonance of 7.83 Hz has also been linked by some to
hypnosis, meditation, and even human growth hormones.

Two People Communicate In DREAMS

Aristotle said, "Sleep is something that exists by nature, but is not a substance."

Sleep is important to a number of brain functions, including how nerve cells communicate with each other. Scientists have brought the science revolution closer to reality by achieving the first two-way communication between individuals during lucid dreaming. A California based startup named REMspace reported in 2024 that they facilitated communication between two individuals during lucid dreaming. The company claimed the participants were sleeping at their homes on Sept. 24 when their specially developed machines remotely tracked their polysomnographic data through WiFi recording their brain waves, blood oxygen levels, heart rate, and breathing during sleep. Two study participants slept in separate homes. The server detected that one participant had entered a lucid dream, generating a random word from the special language transmitting it to him via earbuds and repeated this word in his dream and that response was captured and stored. After eight minutes, the second participant entered a lucid dream transmitting the stored message from the first participant to her which she repeated upon awakening. "Raduga 40 "implanted an electrode into his brain to control his dreams. Lucid dreaming allows a person to perform self-directed actions in their dreams rather than randomly interacting and reacting in their dreams without any sense of control. This opens the door to countless commercial applications reshaping how we think about communication and interaction in the dream world.

Eid al-Adha Mubarak
On the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, we reflect upon the profound values of sacrifice, devotion, and unwavering submission to the will of the Almighty. May this blessed day bring peace, compassion, and unity across communities.

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him.”
— Surah Al-Hajj (22:37)

As we honor this day of spiritual significance, may we be inspired to lead lives of humility, empathy, and service to others.

Warmest wishes for a meaningful and blessed Eid.

The sky was not ours today. It was the maiden flight of কালোবাজ-01, the first official rocket from GSC Falcon, the official rocketry team of GSCSC. We poured our hearts and time into this dream, but fate had other plans — the rocket burst mid-air.

Yes, we failed. But we are not broken. Insha’Allah, we will return stronger, wiser, and bolder. The sky will remember us. We shall overcome soon.

🎉 The Highly Anticipated Sub-Executive Panel 2024-2025 is Here!

Congratulations to all those who have poured their heart and soul into contributing to the club's growth and their own journey. Govt. The Science College Science Club extends its warmest regards to the newly selected Sub-Executive Panel for 2024-2025.

A Sub-Executive member is expected to work assiduously for the betterment of the club. This is not just a position—it's a responsibility marked by trust, wisdom, and resilience. These individuals will contribute not only individually but also collectively as a strong, unified team. Like a family, they will face every situation with compassion and resolve.

GSC Science Club officially welcomes them on board with full confidence and camaraderie. We wish them the very best as they embark on this journey of leadership, creativity, and growth.

Let the new chapter begin!

The Galton board, also known by the rather intriguing names of quincunx or bean machine, is a truly remarkable invention by the brilliant Sir Francis Galton. It beautifully brings to life the central limit theorem and how the binomial distribution can be so closely approximated by the familiar normal distribution. Imagine tiny marbles being dropped onto a staggered array of pegs as they tumble down, they randomly bounce left or right. Finally, they collect in little bins at the bottom, forming that characteristic bell-shaped curve we often see in statistics. This curve is a clear visual representation of the normal distribution, showing us how even a multitude of random events can lead to surprisingly predictable patterns. The Galton board offers such an engaging and hands-on way to grasp some really fundamental ideas in statistics.
