UNICEF Bangladesh কর্তৃক বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবস উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত প্লাস্টিক সংগ্রহ ও রিসাইক্লিং কার্যক্রমে ইউসেপ ইন্সটিটিউট অব সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড টেকনোলজির শিক্ষার্থীরা স্বতঃস্ফূর্তভাবে অংশগ্রহণ করেছে।

পরিবেশ রক্ষায় সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি ও টেকসই ভবিষ্যৎ গঠনে এ ধরনের কার্যক্রম অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। আমাদের শিক্ষার্থীরা শুধু অংশগ্রহণ করেই থেমে থাকেনি, বরং তারা একটি পরিচ্ছন্ন ও সবুজ পৃথিবী গড়ার অঙ্গীকার করেছে।

UIST-Dhaka Showcased Creativity at CSE Fest 2025 of Prime University

Prime University arranged an inter-polytechnic and college project showcasing competition on May 14, 2025, at their permanent campus (Mazar Road, Mirpur-1, Dhaka 1216). UIST Dhaka demonstrated 6 projects focusing on 4IR technologies. Professor Dr. M. Kaykobad, former Professor of BUET, was present as Keynote Speaker, and he evaluated all displayed projects and praised their creativity. All projects were competitive enough to be ranked. However, UIST became the runner-up in the Project Showcasing Category at the auspicious event.

Dr. Md. Abdul Karim, Executive Director of UCEP Bangladesh, consistently encourages students to confront the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and engage in the creation of purposeful prototypes. Dr. Karim warmly welcomed the winners and urged students to be more proactive in participating in similar competitions in the future. He also assured that he would foster a supportive environment to become a leader among the polytechnics.

On 5th May 2025, a day-long seminar titled as Building Better Futures: Celebrating voices of resilience and change for workplace inclusion was organized by ILO and BBDN at Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC). Bangladesh technical education sector was represented in the seminar by teachers and students of Computer Science and Technology of UIST, Mirpur, Dhaka. The chief guest of the event was Mr. Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain, Hon’ble Advisor to the Ministry of Labour and Employment of Bangladesh while Ms. Sharmin S. Murshid, Hon’ble Advisor to the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, spoke as special guest. Mr. Tuomo Poutiainen, Country Director of ILO was also present.
