ture M.S. bars, as well as the first to export deformed bars from Bangladesh. Ever since its entry into the mild steel market with 60 grade product for the first time in Bangladesh, the group has continuously upgraded itself to bring the world’s most advanced cutting-edge technology to the Bangladeshi market. Since its inception in 1978, Anwar Ispat has been a major force in the construction of Bangladesh. Over the years, we have made some milestone contributions to the development of our nation. Anwar Ispat are proud pioneers in implementing a more efficient system in the production process called Direct Charging, which helps minimize the consumption of gas in the production process. This sets us apart in that that the general practice is to allowing to cool the billet down after it is made and then it is reheated again. Conversely, Direct Charging works with a system that allows the hot billets to be taken out of the caster at 1150-1200 centigrade and taken directly to the rolling mint. This revolutionary concept has allowed recovering heat that is otherwise lost in the production process, which is further being recycled to generate even more heat, making it a self-sustainable system in a way. Consequently, the steel-making process has become more energy and time efficient, and turned it into a greener and more eco-friendly procedure. To further our objective to become a greener entity, we have adopted and integrated other approaches such as upgrading our production facilities as frequently as possible so that we are using less energy and emitting less into the environment. Regardless to say, it is of utmost importance to us that we recover as much from the wastage as possible and moreover, recycle every component left from use. Anwar Ispat has constantly set itself apart in the industry through resourceful and eco-friendly approaches such as using ancillaries like Induction furnaces with captive Gas Fired power plant, which is highly energy efficient. Strict environment control policy of the Unit has also set an example not only for the entire Industry but also a standard for the environmental departments of the Government.
