πŸ”΄πŸ”΄ Celebration of 167th Birth Anniversary of Acharya J. C. Bose πŸ”΄πŸ”΄

🟒🟒 168th Birthday of Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose is celebrated here in the Room No. 04 of Asanda Siksha Niketan (H. S.) with much enthusiasm, respect and honour. He was the pioneer of Indian scientific innovations.

πŸ”΅πŸ”΅ the President of this programme as well as the Headmaster of our beloved school, respected Shri Atanu Das first paid homage to this great Indian scientist with floral garland and then, in his inaugural speech, sir briefly described the importance of the day, why we celebrate these days throughout the year, brief life story of Sir J. C. Bose.

🟣🟣 The speaker of the day was respected Shri Bisweswar Mandal sir, our retired Biology teacher. He elaborately described the early life with birth -place, name his parents, schools he reads in, his education and career in Kolkata, discovery of Life in plants, microwave and radio, inventions of crescograph and other instruments, his interest in literature, book he wrote, his friend "Biswa-kabi" Rabindranath Tagore, establishment of Basu Bigyan Mandir, the Bose Institute in Kolkata, his great students Dr. Meghnad Saha, Satyendranath Bose and others, his contributions in Indian Freedom struggle etc.

🟠🟠 As usual students listened to them and took part in the Quiz later. Every right answer got a reward instantly.

🟀🌎 World Ozone Day is observed here in the Classroom of class VIIIA of our beloved school today with much more enthusiasm. Students of class VIII were the participants here today. The whole world is observing the day to make awareness about the ozone layer and its importance in our lives.

🟣🌎 The President of this programme as well as the Headmaster of our beloved school, respected Shri Atanu Das sir welcome all the participants and briefly described the importance of the day, ozone gas and ozone layer, an umbrella above the earth, UV rays and cosmic rays and their deadly effects on human body and all on the earth, diseases skin cancer, cataract, DNA modifications etc.

πŸ”΅πŸŒŽ Shri Badudeb Kamilya sir then elaborately described the importance of the day again, why people are observing of the day worldwide, ozone and its component and formation, ozone layer along with divisions of the atmosphere above us, location of ozone layer in the atmosphere, UV rays and cosmic rays and their origins, fatal effects on human and other livig beings on earth, how ozone layer save us like a savior or hold an umbrella above the earth against these rays mentioned, ozone holes, reasons of their formation, their effects on us, etc.

πŸ”΄πŸŒŽ Shri Susanta Kumar Patra sir then join the discussion and enriched the participants. He too elaborately described the name of the gases freon, Chloro Fluoro Carbans (CFCs), Carbon Mono-oxide and Carbon Di-oxide etc. causing the Ozone Holes, they are the bi - products of our everyday life use of ACs, vehicles using petroleum products etc. To get rid of this deadly gases, ozone holes and the dengerous diseases, we have to stop or reduce the uses of the same and must plant a lot numbers of trees with no delay. All the paricipants enjoyed the programme very much.

🟒🌎 As usual, a Quiz session was there at the end and all the students took part enthusiastically and every right answer got a reward everytime.

πŸš€πŸš€ Observation of National Space Day - 2025 πŸš€πŸš€

πŸ”΄πŸ›Έ National Space Day is observed here in the Classroom of XA in our beloved school today with much more enthusiasm.
The day is being proudly observed Nationwide to mark the successful landing of the 'Vikram' lander with the 'Pragyan' rover in it on the south pole of the Moon by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in the "Chandrayaan - 3" mission of India on 23rd day of August in 2023.

πŸͺπŸŸ£ The President of this event as well as the Headmaster of our school, respected Shri Atanu Das sir inaugurated the programme. In his welcome speech, Shri Das sir briefly described the importance of the day, Space is really wonderful and the matter of curiosity too, urged all the students to listen the speakers to learn a lot etc.

πŸŸ’πŸ›°οΈ In his speech, the Asstt. Headmaster of our school, respected Shri Surjanshu Sekhar S**t sir too described about the outer space over the Earth, space expeditions, Indian efforts in space exploration, the first and the second astronauts of India, Lyka the first creature sent in outer space etc.

✈️ πŸ”΅ Dr. Jabalal Karmakar sir also encouraged the participants with his brief speech in colaborating science and literature.

β­•πŸš€ The speaker of the day was Shri Rasbihari Jana sir. Shri Jana sir elaborately described the importance of the day, all about three Chandrayaan missions, History of Space Studies in India from encient age to the modern era, Aryabhatta, Barahamihir etc.- their contritution in it, their written books in this field, Space studies in British rule in India, establishment of ISRO and the pioneer of Space Science & Space Research in India, Dr. Bikram Sarabhai, his contributions in this field, Foundation of ISRO and its contributions till date in India, contributions of Soviet Rassia in India's space journey and expeditions, all satellite programme from Aryabhatta, Bhaskara- I & II, Rohini, INSAT satellite series to modern day's Astrosat, Carsosat etc. indigenous satellites, NAVIC, Indian astronauts and areas of their field of works, MOM programme, Chandrayaan - 1,2 & 3, Aditya L1 programme and upcoming space programme of India, "Gaganyaan" for lunar exploration, other space projects by ISRO with all details, contribution of ISRO and its space programmes in 'Operation Sindoor', India's War against Pakistan as well as cross- border terrorism etc.

πŸͺπŸŒŽ Despite of continuous showers overnight and today's morning, the students who gathered here today, enjoyed the programme and the talks egarly.

πŸ”΄πŸ›Έ A quiz session too was arranged in this event and Shri Atanu Das sir was the Quiz Master today and all the students took part in this quiz actively. All the correct answer got a reward instantly.

🟣🟣 Pi (Ο€) Approximation Day is observed here in the Room No. 9 of Asanda Siksha Niketan (H. S.) today with full enthusiasm. Students of class VII attened this programme egarly and spontaneously to mark the day.

πŸ”΅πŸ”΅ The speaker of the day for this programme was none other than our beloved and respected Shri Susanta Kumar Patra sir. Shri Patra sir elaborately described the importance of the day, importance of 22/7 and Pi (Ο€), meaning of Ο€ and 22/7, their values and relation, rational number etc. - one by one in his unique style. Pi (Ο€) is an irrational number and 22/7 is rational one. He drew a circle and one square each inside & outside of the circle respectively touching the same and define 22/7 as well as its impact in a circle. He also drew a circle and polygons inside that circle to clear the concept of perimeter of it. The ratio of perimeter and diameter of any circle is Ο€ and its value is 3.14159............ & it is not a rational number. 22/7 is the nearest rational number of Ο€ & it is not purely equal to Ο€ as mentioned, but supposed to be approximately same as Ο€. We observed Pi Day on 14th of March (3/14) every year at about 2 pm. 22/7 is its approximate value which itself is the nearest rational number. All the students enjoyed the programme attentively.

🟒🟒 A quiz session was too arranged here in this event at the end of the talk and every right answer got a reward each and every time. Students enjoy this session too very much.

🌳🌳 Observation of World Environment Day - 2025 🌳🌳

🌲🌲53rd World Environment Day - 2025 is observed here in the Room No. 02 of Asanda Siksha Niketan (H. S.) today with full enthusiasm. Students of Classes V, VI & IX have parricipated in this event today.

πŸ€πŸ€ The whole world is observing the day to make our environment better for us as well as for our upcoming generations.

🌿🌿 Smt. Sunanda Mandal (Mitra) ma'am was the speaker of the day. Smt. Mandal (Mitra) ma'am briefly described the importance of the day, history of its observation, United Nations (UN) declared the day as World Environment Day in 1972 and the day is being observed since 1973 till date all over the world, theme of it etc. She also described various pollutants affecting our beloved mother earth and thus our environment is being hard to live gradually, we need more trees for fresh air, more oxygen and more rain etc. We should not cut the trees but should cut the rate of the usage of plastic and polythene etc. in our daily usage, reduce the usage of chemical manure, pesticides etc. and must plant atleast one saplings of tree for our bright tomorrow. And must need our beautiful heart, beautiful mind for a beautiful world too.

☘️☘️ The anchor of this programme was Shri Basudeb Kamilya sir. He also added some data on plastic pollution. Plastic is being deadly for us all living in this planet. Various forms of it are causing difficulties for us and now we all are trying to get rid of it. Some iteams of plastics are now restricted for use. Polythene (> 20μ), thermocol, teflon etc. are harmful for us and micro-plastic is dangerous specially for mankind.

🌴🌴 As usual a quiz session was there at the end of this event and all the correct entry got rewards each time. All the participants too enjoyed the programme very much.

🟒🟑 Mother Earth day is observed here in the room No. 02 of Asanda Siksha Niketan (H. S.) today with full enthusiasm. Students of class VI participated in this programme today.

The whole world is observing the day to make people aware how earth may be saved.

πŸŸ‘πŸ”΅ The President of this programme as well as the Headmaster of our beloved school, respected Shri Atanu Das sir inaugurated this programme. In his welcome speech, Shri Das sir described the importance of this day, meaning of "Basundhara", why we observe the day, mother earth for plants and animals, plantation and its effect on earth, how our mother earth be saved etc.

πŸ”΅πŸŸ  The speaker of the day was Shri Susanta Kumar Patra sir. Shri Patra sir described the importance of the day, why we are observing the day, why earth is in danger, green house effects & global warming, why we are facing heat waves right now in our locality & early summer vacation, green house gases, inhabitability of earth near future, remady of it, tree plantation, everybody have to plant four or five saplings of trees, theme of this year for earth day etc.

🟠🟣 A quiz session was arranged and every right answer got a reward as usual. Everybody enjoy it very much.

πŸŸ£πŸ”΄ And all the participants took a pledge to plants five saplings of trees in his/ her lifetime.

πŸŸ¦πŸ”΅ World Water Day is observed here in the class room of VIA today in our school with full enthusiasm. The whole world has been observing the day since 1993 to make aware the people about the water, water pollution and its deadly effects on humans and other living bodies on earth.

πŸ”΅πŸŸ¦ In his inaugural speech, the President of this programme as well as the headmaster of our beloved school, respected Shri Atanu Das sir, welcome all and briefly described the importance of the day, water, causes of its pollution, effects of it, our duties in this regard to save the earth etc.

πŸŸ¦πŸ”΅ Smt. Sunanda Mondal ma'am was too describe the importance of the day, cited for some misuse of our fellow citizens as taps were not stopped in timed water supply, some people broke these, resulting in huge water drainage etc. She then described the origin of earth, low lands - which became oceans, seas etc. later, only 3% of total water in earth is sweet in taste (fresh water) and 97% of it is salty and less than 1% of fresh water is drinkable. She also talked about ground water and its misuse, rain water harvesting with its model of Tamilnadu state etc.

πŸ”΅πŸŸ¦ The speaker of the day was Shri Kanailal S**t sir. Shri S**t sir elaborately described the importance of the day, decision of the observation of the day in the Earth Summit, 1992 in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, history of the observation since 1993 till date, theme of the programme in 2025, 'Glacier Preservation': why it is needed, global warming and melting of Glacier in two poles of earth, changes in climate, CFCs, freon, carbon di-oxide and other green house gases and their deadly effects on us, water in human body, organ, cells, lacrimal glands in eyes and salivary glands in mouth etc. He also describes various water pollutants and other causes of water pollution, effects on us and what our duties are in this situation right now one by one. All the participants listened to them attentively.

🟣πŸŸͺ National Science Day is observed here in the Classroom of VB today at Asanda Siksha Niketan (H. S.) with full enthusiasm. The whole Nation is celebrating the day to mark the discovery of Raman -Effect on this day at IACS in Kolkata (formarly known as Calcutta) by Sir C. V. Raman in 1928.

πŸŸ¦πŸ”΅ In his inaugural speech, the President of this programme as well as the Headmaster of our beloved school, Shri Atanu Das sir, briefly described the importance of the day, why we should observed these days?, Science learning, presence of science in everywhere in our life from morning to night etc. Shri Das sir also urged all the participants to be with scientific temper in mind and act accordingly.

🟒🟩 The speaker of the day was Shri Santanu Kar sir. Shri Kar sir elaborately described the importance of the day, Light scattering, Raman-effect, Sir Chandrasekhar Venkata Raman and his discovery of Raman - effect at Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science in Kolkata on this day in 1928, winning of Nobel prize in 1930, the history of celebration of the day as Nation Science Day since 1987 after recomendation by NCSTC to Govt. of India in 1986 etc. He also described the theme of observations and the theme of 2025 of the same. All the participants egarly listen to them.

πŸŸͺ World Leprosy Day is observed here in our school with full enthusiasm yesterday on 30th January, 2025. Students of classes V & VI participated in this programme. The day is being observered worldwide to make people aware all about leprosy and its deedly effects on human body, mind as well as on society.

🟩 Dr. Jabalal Karmakar sir was the President of this event. In his inaugural speed, Dr. Karmakar sir described in brief the importance of the day, leprosy and its myth in our society, disregard to the effected people and other acts against them etc., it is not a sin - bacteria borne disease and can be cured if detected in time.

🟦 The speaker of the day was Shri Kanailal S**t sir. Shri S**t sir elaborately describe what is leprosy, the cause of it - Microbacterium Typhee, a bacteria. Its affect on human body, mainly on nervus system and skin, symtoms of the disease, it's not a sin, a disease can be curable if detected in time. He also described the importance of the day, World Health Organization (WHO) is observing worldwide since 1954 for awareness obout the same, its treatment, MDT etc.

🟫 A Quiz session was too arranged and students participated egarly and awarded for their every right answer.

🟦🟩 The 138th Birthday of Great Indian Mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan is celebrated here in our school today. Birth Anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanuja is observed here in India as National Mathematics Day every year to mark his contributions in the field of Mathematics.

πŸŸ₯🟫 The Headmaster of our beloved school, respected Shri Atanu Das sir paid homage to this Great Indian Mathematician with floral garland respectfully. Students, teachers and others too paid homage with flowers, petals etc.

πŸ”΄πŸŸ  The 167th Birthday as well as the 166th Birth Anniversary of Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose is observed here in the Asanda Siksha Niketan (H.S.) school campus today with much more respect and huge enthusiasm in traditional style. The National is also celebrating the day to honour the pioneer of Science Research and Innovation in India, Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose formally known as Sir J.C. Bose.

🟣🟀 At first, Shri Rasbihari Jana sir paid homage to this great Indian scientist with floral garland and other participating students, teachers too paid homage to Sir J. C. Bose with flowers, petals etc. Shri Ritesh Gupta and Smt. Swatilekha Rana were here to encourage the students.

πŸ”΅πŸ”΄ As the exam. is still on, the programme was concluded in short but in traditional way.
