How do you fit 40 years into 37 seconds? 💙

You don't, really.
There are too many projects, people, challenges and memories to count.
But here's a little glimpse of Contec's journey since 1986. And we're pretty proud of it.

🎬 40 years of Contec. A story still in the making.

What’s changing in industrial automation? What’s holding companies back? And what does success actually look like?

Three questions that shaped "The Automation Shift" panel at IndustryShift Conference in Bucharest.

Our colleague Bogdan Bejenaru took the stage to represent Contec, joining fellow industry professionals to discuss current challenges, industry developments and real success stories.

Thanks to FineEngineering Magazine for bringing these industry perspectives together!

Team gatherings continue, and this time Romania took things off-road! 🇷🇴🏔️

Our colleagues headed to the mountains for a day of ATV rides, treasure hunts, friendly competition and some well-deserved traditional Romanian food. 😋

A few challenges, a few winners, plenty of laughs and a great excuse to spend time together outside the office.

Who's next? 👀

This building has seen a lot of Contec history.

Our Antwerp office has been part of Contec from day one.

Behind these walls, teams have grown, projects have taken shape and Contec has expanded far beyond Belgium.

And 40 years later, this is still home. 🏠

Standardization is rarely the most visible part of an automation project, but it's often what determines how easy that project will be to expand, maintain and integrate in the future.

That's why we have renewed our OMAC membership for another year, continuing our commitment to open automation standards such as PackML and the best practices promoted by the OMAC and ISA communities

Electrical infrastructure is often overlooked, but expansion plans, new equipment, or operational issues quickly put it in the spotlight.

In a recent article published by Romania Journal, Patrick DE PRYCK and Andrei Radulescu discuss why more manufacturers are investing in power studies to better understand the condition, capacity, and risks of their electrical systems.

In 2026, production sites in Romania are turning to power studies to gain a clearer understanding of how energy is consumed

For a manufacturing facility in Poland, Contec supported the modernization of electrical documentation to match updated production line operations and control systems.

The project included on-site verification, updates to electrical and PLC documentation, and validation of existing cabinet configurations to help the site move forward with a more reliable and up-to-date engineering baseline.
