“Clarity is a form of care.”

Since joining Syensqo at the beginning of March, our new Chief People Officer, Kerstin Artenberg, has been focused on listening, learning and understanding what our people need to perform at their best.

What she’s discovered is that we have a strong foundation: people who care about their work, their customers and the future of our company.

But to go further, we need clarity. Clarity on where we’re going, what’s expected and how each of us can succeed.

In an environment where people are already committed and motivated, clarity, honesty and transparency is what will enable us to translate our positive energy into results.

What if the future of aviation was lighter, smarter and more sustainable?

In this video, Rob Blackburn, our Head of Customer Engineering at Syensqo, talks about the role composites play in the Climate Impulse project.

They are used across the aircraft, from the fuselage to the wings, helping reduce weight by around 10% and extend the range by up to 3,500 km. A key step toward making a non-stop flight around the world possible 🌍

Composites also help enable safe liquid hydrogen storage at -253°C for several days and open the door to new aircraft designs.

Take a look and see how together we are shaping the future of flight.

What happens the day after the Ernest Solvay Prize ceremony?

Our 2026 laureate Professor Xiaowei Zhuang spent it with Syensqo R&I fellows and young researchers from around the world. 🌍

In a more informal setting, away from the stage and official speeches, the conversation quickly turned into an open and honest exchange. Questions flowed — about scientific setbacks, about persistence, about what it really takes to see what others cannot yet see.

“Breakthroughs happen when we challenge ideas openly and learn from one another,” said Jean-Christophe Castaing, coordinator of the Syensqo Fellows Researchers Group, during his exchange with Professor Xiaowei Zhuang.

Professor Zhuang shared not only insights from her pioneering work in molecular imaging, but also the mindset behind it — learning, unlearning and relearning along the way.

These moments reflect who we are at Syensqo. We explore. We advance. We impact. We believe open dialogue and collaboration across generations are essential to turning fundamental science into real-world progress.

Because beyond the ceremony, it is these exchanges that keep innovation moving forward.

This week, we celebrated our 2026 Ernest Solvay Prize Laureate, Professor Xiaowei Zhuang, at the Palais des Académies in Brussels.

Professor Xiaowei Zhuang is recognized for her pioneering work in visualizing the molecular machinery of life. Her research transforms how scientists observe and understand living systems, with impact across chemistry, biology and medicine. It is a powerful example of how fundamental science drives meaningful progress.

Held in the presence of HM King Philippe, the ceremony highlighted the essential role of research and innovation in society.

It also marked the first Ernest Solvay Prize celebration for Syensqo CEO Mike Radossich, bringing together scientists, institutional representatives and industry leaders around a shared commitment to breakthrough science and collaboration.

Awarded every two years through the Syensqo Fund, the Ernest Solvay Prize honors outstanding scientific achievements shaping the chemistry of tomorrow and promoting human progress. It brings together leading minds to celebrate discovery, and the lasting impact of science.

Join us in congratulating Professor Xiaowei Zhuang on this well-deserved recognition.
