“Europe does lead in digital. We just need to stop being shy about our champions.” 🇪🇺🚀

From online exchanges to concrete action, the first in-person DICE workshop in The Hague is a major milestone for the project.🇳🇱

This week, we brought together representatives from 17 National Competition Authorities for our first in-person EU workshop. It’s an important step towards strengthening cross-border cooperation in competition law enforcement and supporting a more integrated Single Market.

Over two intensive days, the workshop went far beyond a traditional conference. Through open and lively discussions, participants:
✅ exchanged experiences and perspectives;
✅ identified shared challenges and opportunities;
✅ agreed on concrete next steps to advance cooperation.

The dialogue was further enriched by contributions from industry and scale-ups, with the support of 28DIGITAL. As 28DIGITAL CEO, Federico Menna put it: “With DICE, we brought our startups and scaleups into training for 17 national competition authorities, turning theory into market reality.”

Their insights helped connect policy objectives with real-world business needs and highlighted the practical importance of effective cooperation for Europe’s digital economy.

Europe has 68,000 km of coastline. Almost none of it is smart.🌊

In 28DIGITAL's latest Grow Digital Insights: Giorgio Cucé, CEO of Seares, on the “Energy-Data Paradox” of the sea. You can’t digitise the ocean without sensors, and you can’t plug a sensor into open water.

His answer is infrastructure that powers itself. Mechatronic moorings harvest wave energy (up to 10 MWh per lifespan) to run IoT sensors streaming 24/7 telemetry, while cutting peak loads by up to 90%.

As offshore wind and aquaculture move further out to sea, monitoring them becomes a matter of sovereign energy and food security.
